There are some trees, but definitely not in the middle of a forest. The trees look a lot closer than they are, there is at least 15-20' around the launcher and it's completely clear straight up. Also, this isn't actually a bomb, it's more like a thrower... All of the heat is going straight up and it burns so fast there is no real risk of setting anything on fire in this setup.
