What I said was that LoM can hold up to those games as it is a solid and amazing game itself, thus, it is a worthy and excellent entry in the Mana series.

Whichever Mana game you like or think is better is your own preference, but at the end of the day, LoM is still a great game.

@tichassbitty Gotta disagree with you there, LoM happens to be my favorite in the Mana franchise, and I believe it was after Mana the series went downhill. Mana was amazing for me, it had it's problems as it does feel like an unfinished game as the only arc that feels truly finished was the Jumi Arc but I don't care I still love it. But it's okay everyone has different opinions, and I didn't care if it was different then the other games.

The right group of people, with right amount of cash and time can pull it of briliant, but very often when making sequel to a great title, they just ruin all the hopes by going only for profit by baiting people because of title. I agree that they can make it, but I really like everything in this game, graphics, battles and of course music, and I'm just saying that if they didn't try to make something new, but make a remake with added HD,then gamers will still buy it

If anyone wants to learn how to play estranged songs in video games or anything like this which im learning now on flute. Use noteworthy composer 2 which can be downloaded via torrent. download midi files(free from many sites) drag them on note worthy composer screen then segregate which instrument you play. If you cant read music their website provides a note to letter transcription program in the web browser it will give you the notes in letter format thumbs up cause its a great tool

Sure you have the FF and Disney characters but I can clearly say, out of love and childhood memories, this game is unremarkable and unforgettable and I am very disappointed of Dawn of Mana and other series. This was the best one ever.

Legend of Mana came out for the PS1 so unless you were gaming back then you wouldn't have heard of it. It's a REALLY good game and has a great replay value since it contains a lot of side quests and more than just main storyline. Eventually you can even unlock the chance to make new weapons, musical instruments (cast spells with) and even your own robot and race your own monsters. There are also a lot of NPCs that you can take and venture with. It's a really awesome game.

Ah, legend of mana. The times. Some things it does well (the art, the comat system, smithing) some things great (the sound track, the fact that there's something to tell you what quests you have currently) others... not so much (the lack of a area map. Oh sweet zombie jesus the lack of a area map. Ever tried navigating the white forest without larcs help? Not nice.) but overall its a fun game to play, and well worth the time if you can get your hands on a copy.

If you can, find an import copy. Legend of Mana is unlike anything else in gaming. HOWEVER, if you've played its predecessor--Secret of Mana--be warned that LOM is very different from it.

Oh, you're talking about Secret of Evermore. That's not technically part of the Mana series. And LOM is STILL very different from that game.

Land-building feature? Well, kinda. What you do is take artifacts, place them on a map, and predetermined locations pop up in their place. You don't get to control what's IN the locations except for at your house. (You can raise animals there, as well as create bots and grow produce from a magical tree called Trent.)

Oh, sorry I was referring to the Japanese official sequel "Seiken Densetsu 3" - which is confusingly referred to as SOM 2. Secret of Evermore I've not played. In SD3 I played through as Angela and only just managed to defeat the Dragon guy.

Thats partial, it's just FF was twice as successful as the Mana series, though none of us are actually willing to admit it. So they put a kind of stop to the series by making it occasionally as compared o the full on FF. Not to mention Square was releasing a ton of diff games for a while.

Kefka is such a psycho. 0_o Imo, a psycho is better than your average villain. Sephiroth is just your average villain taken to the extreme and that's it. Kefka had even more depth than he did I think.
