I've been diagnosed with ADD, Depression, Mania, Bi-polar, Borderline personality disorder, and finally generalized anxiety disorder. Each diagnosis was in turn denounced by the following doctor. As a result my body's been subjected to a dizzying spectrum of drugs and seemingly melted who I was. I finally put my foot down and under doctor supervision have halted all drugs. Sad to say, my most painful was probably when my first serious girlfriend broke up with me. Since I overcame that, I think it's become very difficult for me to feel emotional pain.

Affection on the other hand can both turn into love or rejection, but it is your own choice if you turn that rejection to a good or a bad feeling.
