  • The VASIMR are a family of rocket engines under development whose spacecraft will reach very high speeds whilst using very little fuel.

    The VASIMR VX-100 in the video created and expelling a plasma at 1,000,000 C. Sufficient force/thrust was produced to blow over the probe measuring the flux.

  • i think the flux probe is designed to only swing momentarily through the plasma.

    The probe swung towards us.

    The plasma however is travelling from right to left.

    it wasn't blown over.

  • Could anyone please explain what is going on
