Why don't you take the Qur'an as the starting point instead, and ask what is it about prayer, zakat, hajj, etc. can you find in the Qur'an and in how much detail? Then you get your answer on which aspects of these are absolutely necessary, as dictated by God.

I agree if we should reject any Hadiths that againts Qur'an, or even Hadiths that are not based on Qur'an. I'm not really to judge since I don't belong to this faith. But I believe the Quranist are right in many ways. The hadith were written down decades, even centuries after Muhammads death. So obviously, the hadith are flawed because of this.

You are mixing too many issues. Solid definitions of Arabic words according to how the Arabs of old understood and use them, literally and grammatically and the Quran is all we need!!! But I don't think you really want true answers to those questions!!

I am a white American natively born in America. I do not speak Arabic and read an English translation of the Qur'an. I read the Qur'an from start to finish in two weeks (and I am a slow reader) and found it the easiest book to read anywhere. I understood all of it to what I believe is its truest form. Why? Because Allah chose for me to do so. I realized that I was already Muslim before I even read it and it has simply helped me to understand more and set my soul at peace! God is greater!!!

To answer all these questions one need only say ahadith are examples and thus funerals etc. may be worthwhile to follow (we get funerals from what was past just like sacred months!). However none of them are obligatory. Society and common sense take care of the rest.

The hadith does not instruct how to pray. This is a ludicris claim that ignores all the contradictory information on namaz contained within the hadith. Why are the numerous contradictions ignored? 32:3 says no warner was sent to Muhammad's people. 2:239 says Allah taught us how to pray. The Qur'an if fully-detailed, so all components of prayer are in the Qur'an. They have to be unless you can prove they are not. If you cannot and you deny, you are simply not Muslim.

I have some questions for you - why don't you believe Allah (saw) when He says that the Qur'an is complete, easy to remember, and easy to follow? Why would you take the word of men over the word of Allah Himself? The One whom we obey in matters of faith is the one whom we worship - whom do you really worship?
There is no way that a person who endeavors to follow the Qur'an can be rightly said to be a cultist. That is equivalent to saying that Mohommed (pbuh) was a cult leader since he only followed what was revealed to him as per the Qur'an. This lack of reasoning is ridiculous! At any rate, it is wise to lean on God alone rather than men. There is no one alive who can verify the real source of ahaddith. Only those who study Qu'ran as it should be studied can be correct. They assume (for cultural convenience) that the words of scholars (and hadiths) are Truth (knowing that they are unpreserved and not from God) and their unwavering conviction in the words of Man is equal to that of their “faith” in the Qur’an (despite the Qur’an and hadiths testifying against any sources outside the Book).
Thus, if a Sunni or Shia etc. labels a Muslim as non-Muslim (or the equivalent) for refusing to accept the ahadith as religious law, they are committing shirk.
They at most have the legal right (ignoring the fact that many hadiths contradict or embellish the Qur’an).
Therefore, what religious right has a Sunni or Shia etc. to label a “Quranist” (i.e. Muslim) anything else (outside Islam) providing he or she is in fact Qur’an-alone? Are they not making a fatwa based on non-Qur’anic sources on what is Islam and what is not? We do not call Sunni and Shia “non-Muslims” or “kuffar” etc. (or if we do we can debate the legitimacy as you so wish).
Since a Muslim is one who has absolute faith in and submits to God alone, it is impossible (without committing shirk) to hold a singe hadith as authority. No matter how “authentic” it may seem, it is still literally hearsay and not a Revelation. Therefore what right has even the most advanced scholar to dictate Islam outside of the Qur’an (i.e. what right has anyone to impose a Law (outside of the Qur’an) and label it religion?)

it appears as if this video was made by someone who has not read the quran nor he or she understands how Allah addresses his true believers that it is he who will help them understand the Quran. We read in Surah Rahman (verse 2) that "Allah is the teacher of the Quran" so all one needs is a deep conviction in their hearts and think hard over the ayahs.

the entire quran is the "qol-e-rasool" so when you follow the quran, we simply follow the rasool also.
this is similar to when jesus said in the bible (John 10:30) that "I and the father are one"...meaning that they are one in purpose. similarly, the message of the prophet was the quran, he himself followed it 24/7 and that is exactly what is required of us.

Why don't you take the Qur'an as the starting point instead, and ask what is it about prayer, zakat, hajj, etc. can you find in the Qur'an and in how much detail? Then you get your answer on which aspects of these are absolutely necessary, as dictated by God.

Nope the 4 scholars who complied the Hadiths, did so in accordance to the Quran.
The Hadith translation we follow are of those that do not conflict with the Quran, but agree with it to the tea, along with having a strong chain of narration.

Imam Bukhari gave up alot of his time and dedication travelling and historically checking up if a hadith was accurate. Allah says; in verse 5:44 tht any one who makes sharia laws not from Quran but other books [which is not Quran] are KAAFIRS. So all Hadithers who make sharia laws frm hadiths book are Kafirs. These Hadiths were never said by Prophet but were forged by Persian Parsi Imams 250-400 yrs aft Prophet. Quran is the best hadith of Allah 39:23 & also only the authentic Hadith of Prophet too 69:40-47.

Islam is the 1:1 relationship with God\ Allah, nothing else. I've been a hanafi all my life because i was born so - but i've always detested hadith as they are always against common sense and logic and only accomplish the aims of the clergy

I am a white American natively born in America. I do not speak Arabic and read an English translation of the Qur'an. I read the Qur'an from start to finish in two weeks (and I am a slow reader) and found it the easiest book to read anywhere. I understood all of it to what I believe is its truest form. Why? Because Allah chose for me to do so. I realized that I was already Muslim before I even read it and it has simply helped me to understand more and set my soul at peace! God is greater!!!

To answer all these questions one need only say ahadith are examples and thus funerals etc. may be worthwhile to follow (we get funerals from what was past just like sacred months!). However none of them are obligatory. Society and common sense take care of the rest.

The hadith does not instruct how to pray. This is a ludicris claim that ignores all the contradictory information on namaz contained within the hadith. Why are the numerous contradictions ignored? What is given in Quran is Islam & what is not is optional. When Allah can give so complex mathematical verse of heritage in Quran, why Allah did not mention 5 prayers? Did Allah forget? Does Allah forget? Mother of Caliph Harun Rashid Khaizran was a Zoroastrian. There are 5 prayers in Zoroastrainism. She cannonized these 5 prayers into Islam around 770 AD; who resisted lost his neck. To validate 5 prayers she advised Parsi imams to fabricate hadith of 50 paryers & then 5 prayers

32:3 says no warner was sent to Muhammad's people. 2:239 says Allah taught us how to pray. The Qur'an if fully-detailed, so all components of prayer are in the Qur'an. They have to be unless you can prove they are not. If you cannot and you deny, you are simply not Muslim.

That is equivalent to saying that Mohommed (pbuh) was a cult leader since he only followed what was revealed to him as per the Qur'an. This lack of reasoning is ridiculous! At any rate, it is wise to lean on God alone rather than men. There is no one alive who can verify the real source of ahaddith. Only those who study Qu'ran as it should be studied can be correct. They assume (for cultural convenience) that the words of scholars (and hadiths) are Truth (knowing that they are unpreserved and not from God) and their unwavering conviction in the words of Man is equal to that of their “faith” in the Qur’an (despite the Qur’an and hadiths testifying against any sources outside the Book).
Thus, if a Sunni or Shia etc. labels a Muslim as non-Muslim (or the equivalent) for refusing to accept the ahadith as religious law, they are committing shirk.

They at most have the legal right (ignoring the fact that many hadiths contradict or embellish the Qur’an).
Therefore, what religious right has a Sunni or Shia etc. to label a “Quranist” (i.e. Muslim) anything else (outside Islam) providing he or she is in fact Qur’an-alone? Are they not making a fatwa based on non-Qur’anic sources on what is Islam and what is not? We do not call Sunni and Shia “non-Muslims” or “kuffar” etc. (or if we do we can debate the legitimacy as you so wish).

Since a Muslim is one who has absolute faith in and submits to God alone, it is impossible (without committing shirk) to hold a singe hadith as authority. No matter how “authentic” it may seem, it is still literally hearsay and not a Revelation. Therefore what right has even the most advanced scholar to dictate Islam outside of the Qur’an (i.e. what right has anyone to impose a Law (outside of the Qur’an) and label it religion?)

Although I do not agree with Rashad Khalifa on many of his claims, THE QURAN IS COMPLETE and is the only source of knowledge muslims should seek for guidance. Wake up. Hadiths are no different than Talmud, it is was devided into sects. When you follow the Quran you are obeying MUHAMMAD, so follow the Quran. Live and breath its message, and make no parters with God. this is the declaration of submitting to the will of Allah. Isa pbh was hated by the jews for telling them just to follow torah.

it appears as if this video was made by someone who has not read the quran nor he or she understands how Allah addresses his true believers that it is he who will help them understand the Quran. We read in Surah Rahman (verse 2) that "Allah is the teacher of the Quran" so all one needs is a deep conviction in their hearts and think hard over the ayahs.
Quranists are the only ones who follow the prophet. There is no proof that any hadith is the word of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

the entire quran is the "qol-e-rasool" so when you follow the quran, we simply follow the rasool also.
this is similar to when jesus said in the bible (John 10:30) that "I and the father are one"...meaning that they are one in purpose. similarly, the message of the prophet was the quran, he himself followed it 24/7 and that is exactly what is required of us.
also..we can not physically follow the prophet now since he is dead but hadith thumpers would tell you otherwise.

if you read my post i stated i was not a follower of khalifa but instead of doing what that so-called muslim who killed him did i leave the judgement to allah. we say kulli sha anfi yadallah(eveything is in the hands of allah) yet take actions in our own hands as if we are allah &then have the nerve to go to the mosque. all these mufti's,scholars,and clerics loved the 19 concept until it challenged hadith.what about the hadith that is against the compiling of hadith?why was that one ignored?

what i dont understand about hadithists is their exaltation of rasulallah(p.b.u.h.) over all other prophets(p.b.u.t.), & their hatred of music. king dawoud was skilled with the challil(oboe) & quran39:75 says"the angels SING praises to their sustainer". i understand dislike of lewd lyrics & bizarre forms of musical imagery but when you look with common sense music was never haraam in the quran. hadith that doesnt contradict al-quran may be useful but ill put my trust in the words of allah.
