  • These are great informative videos man, keep up the good work. NEVER let some brainwashed, uneducated, mind controlled religious NUT JOBS get you down. The only thing Christians have right is that Darwinian evolution is a scientific fraud, other than that, most Christians are just simple minded goons, believing what they are told, LONG before they will ever be man or woman enough to learn on their own like an individual, and not like some group thinking cult member with a lack of education.

  • Ok, another mistake: Horus and Set were rivals, not brothers. Set was Horus' uncle. I can tell you lifted this stuff straight from one of the thesophical books I was reading while doing some research because you made the same mistakes: Mixing Mayan and Egyptian gods together and screwing with the Egyptian pantheon.

  • No. Horus and Set *WERE* brothers, who later became rivals.

You seem to be making the mistake of assuming staticism within the mythos - and this certainly isn't so. Even Wikipedia attests to Horus and Set being brothers. Indeed, in some myths, Horus and Sets rivalry was through Set's jealousy of Horus due to the lack of affection received by Isis.

  • This completely contradicts the book of the dead.

  • I know, indeed, it does.

I'll get searching for the sources for you. I'll send you a message, because I don't think it'll fit in a comment.

  • @VinnfordSansbury - That is right, but how old is the Egyptian book of the dead ? It may have been some later addition to Egyptian society, as many things happened with invasions, wars, conquering, etc... I have heard various quotes that all conflict on how old that Egyptian text really is, some claim the Tibetan version of the Book of Dead is far older, and some say otherwise.

  • Furthermore, check my sources - the video transcript is available in the description panel.

All of my sources are listed and my claims are cited meticulously, I can assure you that you'll find no theosophist works.

  • You've got great foot notes it seems, but where is the bibliography that tells me what HM is supposed to stand for?

  • You're also making the mistake of assuming Set to have always been a deity of negativity, when, again, this isn't so.

Set used to be a popular deity, to the extent that Pharaohs would bear his name in tribute. The last case of this occurs in the twentieth dynasty, so one would have to assume that this is when Seth was vilified.

  • Furthermore, take note that it was Pharaoh *SETI* receiving life off Set. This inscription was without shadow of a doubt, produced before Set became an evil deity.

I hope I haven't come across as rude. I'm just trying to inform you of where you may have misunderstood the mythos.

  • I apologise, it seems that you are already aware of Set's former high regard, as you demonstrate in your video "Truth of the Times Episode 7'.

I'm really enjoying your videos, by the way.

  • I understand Set had other attributes, but the geneology in your video is wrong based on Egyptian texts I have read. I will check your transcript and see if you have something worthwhile in there though. Thanks for the link.

  • I need to shore up the sources that attest to brotherhood, I understand.

I'll get searching for you later.

  • You make a good point in that the nature of the deities changes or 'evolves' over time. This is as true in Jewish as in Egyptian myth. I think the trouble for your position is not showing that there is certain parallels and correlations between belief systems, but definitively demonstrating that a direct influence occurred causally.

  • For example if we accept a jungian perspective one may state it is unsurprising that common ideas and symbols occur as they are fundamental to the psychological make-up of man.

Be careful of always assuming correlation equates to causality!

  • Well made and interesting work though!

  • I never said that he was always negative.

  • I think there is some good stuff in this video, but I'd like to see a list of sources. Also, the priest is on the RIGHT, not the left. Furthermore, I've never seen a priest of any faith wear a robe quite like that. I'll keep an eye out though.

  • The figure is from James Forlong's book.

I believe it's based upon sixth century attire.

  • There is NO EVIDENCE of a Jesus Christ in history unless we look into the ONLY Christus over 2000 yrs ago, who was Iulius Caesar Christ the sacrificed Savior & his heir the Son of God Augustus. There are temples all over to Caesar-Jupiter, including the one in mount Moriah in Hierosalema a ROMAN CITY. Where are Jesus temples? They would be constructed in the 4th Century when Constantinus I organized the MANY cults of Divus Iulius ( CaesarChrist) into ONE of the City of Rome. Intolerance begun

  • Right on brother!
