  • i wonder what church all the people that are for this proposition go to. you should really interview their pastros and see what hes teaching them everysunday.

  • Love your neighbor.

There is an immigrant community about a mile from that church.

You can have a meeting and talk about loving your neighbor. Or you can leave that place and go love your neighbor.

Rev. Boykin said the most encouraging thing: This is the first step. Hopefully, these people will take more steps that add up to more than just talk.

  • That's nice. A bunch of people sitting around talking about both sides coming together and healing. Let's have a group hug.

  • I really like what you guys are doing. Why doesn't everyone try to help each other out instead of discriminating? Everyone should just love each other and not be hypocrites

  • About two minutes into this appears a fellow by the name of Keith Savage, pastor of First Baptist Church of Manassas (home of the most awesome men's choir in the state). The man is a giant heart with arms and legs. He is just overflowing with love and joy. It's a shame he only appears for a few seconds because he's a great preacher. I would have liked to hear the rest of what he said.

  • kothabyu, we will take that as a request and post Rev. Savage's remarks in full.

  • Yes, in his segment, he already has me bawling this morning! Wish I could have made it. I drove around for an hour but couldn't find the church! LOL. Thank God for this video. Thank you, Nancy, for daring to be a bridge and all that metaphor means.

  • The AME church was established over two centuries ago so that people could worship God without being discriminated against or treated like inferiors. It warms my heart to see Rev. Boykin carrying on in that tradition by speaking up for immigrants.
