I had all the albums these guys produced, people used to ask me "who is this" when i played them. Everyone liked it..probably the most underrated band of the time.
I saw this band live in Darmstadt, Germany in 1977. Chi Coltrane opened. I was able to climb on stage to photograph both Lake and Chi. Also got some great shots from the balcony on the side. Lake killed that night, the walls were sweating. And Chi, alone at the piano really tore it up. Those were the days...

When I was in the USAF, I spent my whole time in Europe. I only had 5 LPs in my record collection. Five of them were Lake. I still have all of their vinyl and Lake's Greatest on CD. I wish they would re-release everything on CD (with no extra tracks). I have never met anyone else who even heard of them. That is a shame. They did at least a dozen great songs. I can't even name 10 great Zepplin tracks.
