Umm, you clearly speak low of these mice because you somehow think they are on a lower level then your lizard. Incorrect. Feeding your lizard isn't wrong, you having no respect for life is.
Theres this monster Tegu at a pet store near my house, it is a "sweetheart" according to the person working at the store ^^ it is wayy lazier than this one too xD
@pbdude725 if you think this is a komodo then you should do your research before commenting on videos, this is a tegu a komodo is a huge lizard with toxic saliva
yeah they do that. I had two and can tell you they are like the pitbulls of the reptile world for their size.
If you ever get the chance to see two tegus going for the same mouse, it will quickly make you want to make the switch to a non-live diet. Its absolutely horrific.
I dont know ALOT about them but I think you shouldnt feed them that much or else you will have to leave a large gap between now and the next feeding. Like I said I dont know ALOT about them so I know I might be wrong.
hey my bearded dragon not bite me no anymore its good She like me pet her's back all time because I am tired training bearded dragon calm down now she trust me GREAT
damn. thats all i have to say. there was a tegu at petco for like 80 bucks, i was thinking bout gettin him, but then i heard their max length...fuck no.. plated is aight, but no tegus. theyre viciious tho
i agree, tegus can get rather large, and finding that space to accommodate an adult is tougher than one might think. maintenance on a cage that size can be tedious for someone with no previous reptile experience and patience.
personally i was thinking of getting one myself, a black and white. i have a 4x4x4 cube viv set up from my deceased water dragon. grew to maximum adult size and passed of an impaction. i learned from that mistake and use propper bedding and diet for my other 4 reptiles.
you should be careful feeding so many mice in one sitting - They don't digest the hair very well and can become impacted and can lead to death. I'm not saying you shouldn't feed them mice/rats bc they are a good source of nutrition, but limit it a bit : /
@shroomstealer there's supposedly a dwarf keeled tegu looks like a neon agma but they get 12" 1 foot
GOONZOOF 4 weeks ago
@shroomstealer 1 tegus arnt monitors and I think the smallest minored is like 2 1/2 feet
GOONZOOF 4 weeks ago
I cannot believe you would be soooo cruel as to feed the animal what it eats in the wild. How dare you! (sarcasm).

why are you feeding it live mice, it simply is not necessary and your tegu will never be really handleable unless you simply "get off' on it.

dont just buy one on impulse, tegu's take alot of space and care, depending on what kind of tegu they get anywhere between three to four feet
