The message of Buddhism belongs everywhere! I recently saw a movie called My Reincarnation about a Rinpoche who lives in Italy and travels all over. The film followed him for twenty years, so they were able to capture some incredible footage of the effects of modern western culture on his family and Tibetan Buddhism overall. Really compelling: bitly .com/s5zUze
PEACE TO YOU ALL! Did you know that Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr practices Nichiren Buddhism and believes "We have a responsibility to bring peace and harmony to our lives and the world." As part of her Nichiren beliefs, she reportedly chants every morning and night for 20 minutes, practices yoga, meditates, and reads widely on spirituality.
This is amazing and inspiring. As Einstein mentioned "Buddhism has the qualities of a world religion". Now if only the greater part of the Chinese government would stop condemning Buddhism in a nation that was once so predominantly so. It has been Buddhism that has assisted the Chinese people in enduring the hardships of discord for 2000 years. It would most certainly benefit the world to supplement in their learning a philosophy that promotes rationality, love, and peace.
Another frozen foreign religion coming to destroy the New World. Another franchise, just like Christianity. First the Middle east and now the far east. The Mexican Soil has its own manifestation of Spirit. It is called Tolteca.
@xwaystranger Buddhism dosnt deny any other god or spirit, U have gravely mistaken it for Christianity. Buddhism is a extremely hard religion to follow and is really a deep in spirituality. It mainly focuses on compassion and good deeds. I grew up with it and people find it funny how i try so hard to save insects but to me i was taught insects life are equally valuable as our's and the world is not made for my amusement. I try my best to be positive and help cause i know deep inside i must do it
@symmetry08 check Buddhism and science videos. Buddhism encourages skeptical thinking and doesn't halt progress in development. It only tries halt the selfish, individualist thinking. again i would say that u have a point, So lets volunteer to teach mexico's unprivileged kids.
