what if you filed or cut the sega 6-button controller port? it might work... I did that with my FC3 controller to fit in my Genesis. The A button made me move right, and that's about all that worked.

I am still playing my Vectrex after twenty-plus years. Unfortunately, my orginal controller broke and now I am using a 6-button Genesis controller. I can still play most games as if I was using the original controller, like Scramble. It's a little difficult to play Hyperchase with it, especially Game 2.

Also, you can play two players on one controller on nearly all the games, including Hyperchase. So far, I only know you need a second controller to play two-player Rip-Off.

Vectrex is awesome!!!! I have almost every original games for the system....The only thing i need now is a 3d imager (rare and costs upwards to 1000 bucks for a working one...oh I need the light pen also...(also rare and very expesive)

Looks like I would have a problem with the joystick/nub. I don't find it comfortable to play with my thumb on top moving it for accuracy purposes and it isn't big enough to get your hands on. You need to like pincer it with two fingers.

One of the most arcade styled controllers, and it's very nice. I wouldn't mind seeing this controller reproduced with a USB cable or some adapter for another console so we can play computer games and relive that Vectrex controller experience.

psx is a ps2 with a dvd recorder. its very unpopular because it was only released in japan due to no sales. today most people will call the ps1 a psx.

if you see people commenting about psx they are most likely talking about the ps1.

With some of your old vintage gaming consoles such as the Intellivision, Colecovision, Atari 5200, and the Vectrex, you have to be careful when a seller on Ebay tells you "it works perfectly."

In my experience of buying and repairing old gaming systems, very rarely does something work perfectly off of Ebay. You'd have to purchase your items from a reliable seller in order to be sure that something will work.

For that reason alone, sometimes you just have to hire a repairman in handy.

No offense, but I think I'd prefer to get a Commodore. Except for the fact that there's not enough space in my room to put one. The Vectrex isn't really my thing, but I think that's because I'm only 23, and my nostalgia goes no further back than the NES, even though I grew up with a PC.instead.
