When I was a 12 year old, my mother insisted I should go to a military school, even though my father didn't like the idea. There I got paddled regularly for the most ridiculous reasons: not making the bed properly, falling during a military run, etc. The only thing I got from it is to resent my mother to this day. This is not the first time in America in the last few years when a school paddling has left a child bruised up, and yet they don't seem to get investigated by cps or punished hardly at all. I wonder. WHY was the kid acting up? There are many people with autism who have meltdowns due to sensory or other type of overload. When I have a meltdown it isn't because I am misbehaving, it's because I am AUTISTIC. This kid may have ADD/ADHD some for of autism or some other undiagnosed thing. So maybe the kid was acting up due to a condition he has. I am generally not in favor of paddling, unless it's between consenting adults.

Paddling, when done appropriately can be effective. If you do not want your child paddled at school, then make the teachers & principle aware of this. But then, you should note that, when your child misbehaves, you will be called to remove your child from school for discipline. I agree, injury such as this, is not appropriate. But a threat of a few good cracks on the butt can be a deterrent from misbehavior. Parents must take responsibility for their children's actions! Immediately!

You will notice on here, they diddnt mention what the child did to deserve these swats, something bad enough to be caused for a paddling, little brat probably bruised cause he dosn't get spanked at home, he's sensitive, and well then acts bad at home then will at school, and the mother said it was ok, spanking acceptable, abuse not.
