Yeah, being good neighbors, the Valley doesn't blow the whistle loud most places. At the end of the video though, we were nowhere near anybody and I blew that sucker!
good show, glad you got a chance to run the 40. I will be volunteering at the railway this year, and next year will be of age to run these iron creatures full time.
I've already run steam, and once you grab a hold of that throttle, you cant ever let go.
lol I loved the full blast whistle at the end! would have scared the you know what out of me if i was beside tha tracks and that broke out...what did you say to the guy right before you blew it?
This is magnificent to me, on many levels. Much power behind that throttle, no? Think I have to make a video to say why this thrills, apart from the beauty of the visuals and sound that are also perfect. Nice to meet you.
No. 40. The controls are in different place if you find photos and compare them. She was very responsive to the throttle. I was surprised at how easily the controls moved.
Its a thrill aint it!

Very nice video. I know you had fun. I have fun every time I have pulled back a throttle in my life time from 0-4-0's to 4-8-4's.

All the hand on the throttle programs that I know of are expensive, the hundreds of dollars range.
BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY!
