clear or base coat same gun just depend on a painter for bc usually air pressure is lower down for clear air pressure is higher.. to me this guy is using either aiwata or sata gravity feed gun... i didnt like the way this guy put his clear on he goes over same spot again and again supposely just 1 even medium first coat coat and 1 even wet coat final coat this guy put like 4 to 5 coat in 1 spot can cause run or paint become dull or solvent boil still a good a painter though seen worse

The price of the gun doesn't matter you have no set technigue, your all over the place. I wouldn't let you paint my kids tricycle.
