  • NWA said it best.

Woodside is a name, who are these faceless plundering people working with our disgusting government (that I never pledged allegiance too) to create more growth of dirty money for there greedy life styles.

  • makes me so angry, we are not happy Premier Colin Barnett , we are Outraged and we will cotinue to support the Broome. Fantastic display of Unity from the Broome communties and friends.

  • THIS IS NOT RIGHT!

  • so people of the world, stop putting bums and retards into high positions of political power.

  • people who think they can get away with doing something like what they´re doing in Australia, are delusional. Bums do this kind of thing - ruin environmental sites and so on because that´s what bums do.

  • YOU ARE RIGHT IN FIGHTING THIS ISSUE....INDUSTRY IS NOT THE ANSWER TO THE WORLD PROBLEMS! ENERGY SHOULD BE FREE TO EVERYONE, AND CAN BE MADE WITHOUT DESTROYING THE LAST REMAINING WILDERNESS OF THE WORLD. WHO ARE THE POLICE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT????? THE PEOPLE OR INDUSTRY???? THIS IS INSANITY!!!! & TOTALLY WRONG!!!!!!!

  • I hope they succeed!

  • think global act local and we don't go to mcdonalds, we grow most of our own veg and shop locally, there is;t a mcdonalds in Broome and yes we have been involved with many other actions, we are educated in several areas form mining to envrironment; you made a comment that had no value, you still are that was a silly response, think harder love. Show some thought.

  • One more crime against Mother Earth, that has to be stopped.

  • It's criminal to tear up the Land like this. It's against Natural Law. Furthermore, the police, and plant construction workers, were UNLAWFULLY TRESSPASSING on ancient Aboriginal Land, without the consent of the Traditional Owners. We have to take a stand to protect this beautiful part our our Country (I'm a whitefella btw!) White, black, we can all live in peace in this great Land, but we must not let the bottomless greed of corporations destroy it.

  • @hearts0ngs and at Max our host.

This is shocking. Police absolutley abused thier office. Max is correct when he says these people are psychopaths, who want to destroy the ecosystem. Shame on these greedy little maggots. Love and peace to all....

  • @originalboondido you clowns have any idea of how expensive the costline is......there is plenty of room for development and the environment. get off your computer, turn your lights off, stop flying, and move to a cave if you have a problem with energy and development

  • @tony2119 You don't have to go to such extremes; the choice is not between high energy use, and zero energy use (your 'living in a cave' idea). I live in a flat in the suburbs, but I'm as frugal as possible with energy use, and resource use. I use second hand objects and clothes, etc. I drive only when necessary. I grow food in my back yard when weather permits...you don't have to live in a cave to care about the earth, and to not want it raped and torn up by greedy corporations.

  • @hearts0ngs Listen to you - 'greedy corporations'! They are businesses, just like your local butcher and bakery, that exist to provide to their consumers which just happen to be you and I. You cannot live in a country like Australia and drive a car, take flights overseas, and use the internet for godsakes and then disclaim any responsibility for companies like WPL that exist soley because you live an energy intensive lifestyle. Frugally? Bickering on the internet and consuming power!? No idea

  • @tony2119 Please go back and read my comment that you are attempting to respond to. I never said I use zero electricity, rather that I use it wisely and not wastefully.

I can see you are a shill for the establishment, and that's ok, I guess it takes all types. Farewell!

  • @hearts0ngs I read your comment - you called WPL 'greedy'. That's something a 12 year old would say, so your attempt to now take the high ground and behave like an adult is amusing to say the least.

  • @tony2119 You make the basic mistake of assuming that the Environment is somehow separate from development. The environment is everything. Without our harvesting of the environment, there is no economy, no development, and no profit. In your eyes, all that matters is money. Well thats just bits of metal and paper. And your telling me that paper and metal is more important than the theft of land that does not belong to the corporations. Why should the Aboriginals have to suffer yet again. Thief.

  • @originalboondi You are so utterly clueless that I am ashamed to live in the same suburb as you. Your computer, clown, is partly made of metal. Did you click your fingers, count to three, and magically make those metal components appear? The necessary raw materials were mined somewhere on the planet, incurring environmental damage, and your use of your computer is therefore complicit in that mining. Ask yourself fool - why would 'evil'companies mine if they didn't have anyone to sell to?

  • @tony2119 First, you don't even live in the same country as me, so invalid assumption. So you no longer need to feel any shame, which is a result for you. 2nd. My pc is 100% recycled so afraid again your wrong. 3rd I spent my whole life recycling everything I needed. I grow most of my vegies and fruit. I use very little electricity, no tv, Led lighting throughout my home, wood burner for heating. Practically self suficient for a lot of things. So again, call me a fool. = 0 )..xxxxx!!

  • @originalboondi Oh and ps. The electricity comes from a hydro scheme and is 100% renewable.

  • @originalboondi there are no renewable energies. There are energies we have permission to use, and energies we do not have permission to use.

  • @mzedong001 Sorry, but renewables are a fact. The problem is we are living on ancient sunlight that was stored by the trees and marine organisms that over millions of years became coal oil and gas. They are non renewable. Other forms of renewable include coppasing woodland, solar, geothermal, bio mass and hydro/tidal or wave power. All of these are dependent only on the sun shining. HTH.

  • To stop this, we need to make people care. If enough people don't care, nothing is going to change. Regular protests are not enough; more people in the West, and thoughout Australia, need to take a stand on this. I'm from Melbourne, and I wish to help also.

  • I will also pass this video on and share to all I know. It can be stopped if we all help make it stop.

  • truly moving, I definitely feel the need to share this.

  • how can we help... is there a place that will organise protests because if the call came out WE WILL BE THERE people from all walks of life will assemble... we just need the call....

  • what if they had of all chained themselves too it? im really high right now but i am on the verge of tears over what these people have doing for everyone and im ashamed i can not be a part of it at the moment. but right now i will do the best that i can to help mother earth and everyone around me

  • we will keep asking our government reps about these incidents until they respond, and we will get answers, there is an election looming..

We will keep sharing it and it won't go away, along with the pics of WA police running over whales in a publicly funded secuirty vessel.

  • we will keep asking our government reps about these incidents until they respond, and we will get answers, there is an election looming..

  • @o3ville1 - amusing - so state school, private? Your mum and dad must be proud, I know I would be given your strong beliefs and that you offer such thoughtful comments. I have 3 kids around your age [mid 20's]and thank god they are protesting things like this and are politically aware, educated and employed; although I do admit they have been know to have a penchant for Harley's too. Brm brm.. o3ville, and have a lovely day ;)

  • There's an old word for workers who cross their own brothers' and sisters' blockades and picket lines: SCAB!

  • wow max great film.. it was worth the wait..

thanks for showing what those guys did, an ozzie company recently submitted application plans to start exploring scotland for natural gas and have proposed building an exploritory fracking site in airth, falkirk. (upstream from edinburgh) this documentry is a real example of humanity standing together for whats right. spot on! amazing!

  • the ones that got arrested will get to sleep on a real bed

  • @fungulotualatuarazza like um you do know it's commonwealth public servants, council members, traditional owners and Broome community members, mums and dads, homeowners, protesting, so what do you mean? Pretty sure they have beds at home however they prefer to have a social conscience and stand up for what they believe in don't go falling into the sheepish thinking of unemployed hippies out there, they haven't been around since the 70's. Check your facts, this is corruption and it's not okay.

  • @DPAKX the only social conscience they got my friend is not in my backyard ,this kind of thing has been going on for ever , how do you think you get to drive your car or watch your tv or go to mcdonalds ,ill tell you how friend because somewhere and sometime they done it somewhere else , Africa, alaska, south america ,etc did any of you protest then

  • Heartbreaking.

  • those workers are going to need to eat......and when they do....there'll be a lot of people watching. :-)

  • The biggest negative affect that this future venture that Woodside gas and oil will have on the environment here will be the impact on the marine ecosystem. If any accidents happened on solid ground, usually the company can get in there and clean up but when theres a blow out in the sea thats when the problems start. Example... British Petroleum in the Gulf of Mexico.. The marine wildlife there will be still suffering 100years down the track. Why take the risk folks. Aha....money talks huh.YEP.

  • This land in the Kimberley is not ment for industrialisation. But I do not need to explain that. The Gas and Oilindustry knows that and Colin Barnett knows that. I am feeling sorry for everyone. The chosen One

  • @paintedmind And where exactly is your part of the Kimberley m8. No one is "crapping on " about anything. They are making a point. The ruling goverment are s'posed to be the guardians of this country. Thats what they're here for, not for selling out wilderness to some foreign interests. Whether you like it or not, the native people have been here one hell of a lot longer then us. Take another look at the 60 minutes video. The people there were equally both native and white Australian.

  • @176709 Well, it's going ahead, and I for one am pleased .... My piece of land will be worth much more soon and I'll be set up for the rest of my life ... and all you tree-hugging hippie protestors that hitch your wagon to whatever cause is the flavour of the month, can maybe go out and get a real job. I'll be enjoyiong MY life ... have a nice day!

  • @paintedmind This is not a "flavour of the month" issue and I have got a real job. So its all about YOU and YOUR payment for YOUR land so YOU can go out and live YOUR life...Well good luck to you !!!!!Landowner!!!!?????? probably another Euro offspring of thieving colonial settlers that came out here uninvited by YOUR colonial sick pox infested ancestors. YOUR ancestors got the land for nothing after they slaughter the original occupants so whats new huh. Nothings changed. YOU'RE all the same..

  • and white ppl stand by these guardians of the country of 40,000 years - we need to stand together on this one or we have NO chance

  • this is not an aboriginal problem its an everybody problem - the kimberly does not need to be industrialised - please do not make it a black n white issue

  • @maggywoo Your dead right friend. its the difference between right and wrong, and this is wrong. In any language or color or nation...Its wrong what their doing to the people, nature, the environment. There are not many wild places left on the Kimberley coast now. This place was as natural as it was millions of years ago.. What nature has built up for over 160 million years, humans will destroy in less then 100 years. Im a geologist and surveyor and I know that area like the back of my hand.

  • you cant villify the police - they are just under orders....its the govt and gas companies that need to listen

  • Barnett and his mob should be removed from their office the same way as these people are being removed from their land. The cops are a total disgrace. I hope there's a special kind of hell waiting for the Woodside vandals and the evil political push that allows this outrage. The damage they do can never be repaired - Barnetts legacy to future generations.

  • Shameful, WA gov needs to pull their heads in

  • This is so wrong, stupid ,words fail me . I'm with you in spirit ,wish i could be their in person . Please don't give up the struggle you are brave and strong, believe that. i am one person ,but i promise to make as much noise as i can.

  • I hate money. I hate corporates. I hate people. I hate society. The earth, the most beautiful sight to behold when seen in space, but I'm living in it and all it is is ugly as far as the eye can see, corrupt to it's core. I wish I could just leave and see it from afar, ignorant to the reality of corruption.

  • My prays are with you from the East coast .Anything I can do I will do to help!!

  • Thank you John Butler for going over to Manari to help the local people. Folks... this land is these locals peoples last stand. This is their little piece of paradise and they welcome people from all the World to come here to view this untouched pristeen environment These people are not Fly by night hell raisers looking out to get their faces on TV These are people that have been connected to this land for over 40,000 years

This is all they have left Please find it in your hearts to help them

  • The State and Big Business doing their grubby work together. With local community opposing the project and the obvious damage it is doing to the environment and traditional culture this is is clearly a big money decision made far away by people who have little heart and no concern for something so precious as the space and place of James Price Point. I hope this gas project collapses.

  • I worked on this project as a geologist and now Im so sorry. I feel like I was part of this take all system in the past when we did the 1st lot of surveying for gas deposits here. At that time, there was no mention of any future gas exploration facility here, and being a protected eco area we were told this remote paradise would not be touch, but I was wrong. Im so sorry for this. I resigned out of disgust and as of then, I will never ever touch another exploration drill again as long as I live.

  • @176709 ...YOU'RE AN HONOURABLE HUMAN BEING

  • With you from Melbourne. Protect the land.

  • Heartbreaking. My soul weeps :(

  • You bless us with your bravery dear souls. Much love and gratitude from your neighbors across the oceans in Canada.
