How to unlock the secret game on Sharp calculator for EL-509WS and EL-531WH models

to play the game you need to hold the alpha and m button down then take a pen and push then reset button at the back.then if you did that right they will say name? type in 509 then press = all the way until it says rom good then = again to start :)

(Continued 3) The reason this memory corruption glitch happens, if anybody cares, is because pressing the minus and negative keys causes "(-0)-" to appear for one input, and when the calculator checks that there's enough room to add any more inputs, it only checks for one more space. Since this uses 5 spaces, you end up overflowing past the limit, and the calculator stores the overflowed data in the Memory variables.

Wow, I never would have guessed that o_O

I actually found something interesting on my EL-531W myself, though. Turn it on, and make sure you have nothing stored to Memory M (STO and then M+ will clear the memory, since you're storing 0 to it).

Now, press the minus and negative keys a bunch of times (alternating between the two). You should end up with "(-0)-(-0)-(-0)" on-screen. Keep doing this until "M" appears at the top-right - congratulations, you've just corrupted some memory :D

(Continued) As far as I know, this corruption glitch only effects the RAM, which is the memory for the letters you can store data to (M, X, Y, A, B, C, D, E, and F). So resetting your calculator should fix this without any problems... But first you can have some fun :p

Usually not all memory values get corrupted. If you try to recall memory from them (RCL button), you can get some number, Error 2, or even something nonsensical like "0.0000234r53" or even just "r".

Mate it dosent matter what model number it is as long as its an EL series with W at the end. k what u do is hold alpha and M+ like u said then reset liek u said. then u enter in ur calculaors product number under SHARP. mine is a EL506W

Well , why do u call that a 'GAME' when it's to test ur calculators buttons ? Another code is ; CA1C (WORKS ONLY AFTER U RESET) And press 8 followed by 89 . Ur calculator will auto shut down . And won't turn on only if u reset it . Prank on ur friends :)

When the error 0 thing pops up, just press the reset button to make it go back to normal. As for the code part, you can check if you entered it correctly (DM'S being the M) otherwise, I don't really know how to help

no it wont turn back into normal if i press reset. the error is gone after pressing reset - but the buttons which i didn't press won't work . so if i played "the game" and don't press the ON/C Button but the "=" you will see the Error Message and press reset. after this the ON/C Button won't work.

My frens got this little 'secret thingy' on a calculator and for like a week i asked them how to do it but they kept hiding it from me. 1 day i saw one of them pressing some buttons around so i just followed what they did and wen they found out i knew how to do it they got f***ing angry but they were still convinced i couldn't get the game coz it needs a code. so i made a swap with my fren.(who knew the code but didnt noe how to enter it) his code for my teaching on how to access the secret mode

actually, i realised the black little booklet u find in the casing for yr calculator has the code. at the last pg of the bklet, there should be(im not 100% sure) a '520' then a bracket'(' and a number. there shld be 2, so do the whole thing normally except the code should be 520 (1st number) if it doesnt work try the 2nd one. Gd luck ☻
