Upper and Lower Jaw Surgery pt6 post op day 5

Did you have any major bruising on your face, how often did you drink fluids afterwards and what did you drink, water and stuff or mainly protein drinks like "Ensure" (at least thats what I have) I just got out of the hospital today after having the surgery on Thursday and was wondering when you got out of hospital. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I'm on day 7 of my surgery and I feel a lot better than I did. The big thing for me was my sinuses. Evidently they were filled with blood and the pressure was absolutely unbelievable. Horrible. But then I got a hold of some saline rinse and that worked miracles. I feel great. I just want to eat so bad!

Aw, good for you! ^ _ ^ I'm getting surgery within 2 months. However, it's not the pain I am worried about: it's the nausea part. D: And the fact that my jaws are going to be wired together for about 6 weeks, so I won't be able to talk, I think ....

woohoo! your SO brave! i have to wait a couple more years before i can do this :( as im only 14! i had a dream they said i could have the op in january last night + it sucked when i woke up! ha

im 13 and when i turn 17 i have to have my overbite corrected and my nose and jaw have to be broke

Thank you for sharing! You really can see a great difference already!~ Do they allow you to take sleeping aids if you need it? I also am going to do this surgery but I am only at the braces stage... Hang in there!
