  • Just fixed my old Ts820.

    Fixed the following:-

Blown Q14 on PLL unit- Big TO5 can 2sc741-replaced with metal can 2n2222

Open Via below C68 100uf capacitor on Digital display

Aligned PLL unit slugs for 3.1v at 250khz for each band

  • Fantastic rig. I still use this model for my primary. Gotta keep it old school :)

  • I have one and badly needs to go to radio shop

for good overhaul. I bought it used. Hardly ever used it. I unfortunately, never got the SSB nor the CW filters for it. I'd love to have one of the WARC bands added. Have you done this?

Also, I have the scope and remote VFO too. Failed to get the matching linear. Kick myself for not doing that too. Hi!

  • Cool. I just purchased one of these. Can't wait to get it all hooked up and operational.

  • As new..beautiful..

  • I am the new owner of this radio. It is everything Don said it was. It does indeed look new. Currently in use at W9GAS in Tennessee. Thanks Don for such a great radio and your tips to my nephew on how to pack it. Came through in perfect condition.

  • This 820s is one of the cleanest looking examples of this radio I have ever seen. It looks almost brand new. I have the 820s and love it. Mine is in a state of repair and can't wait to get it fixed soon. One day I will restore mine to look like this one.
