  • i had heavy duty chrysler style on the rear, and 900 to 1000 on the front. A little too stiff I thought. But I could really take hard into the corners.

  • Street stock is a class of circle track racecar. Its usually made up of a stock appearing car. Hence the name street stock.

  • @rockinballs Rules are different at different tracks. Most tracks "Stock" is stock suspension, non-adjustable shocks,DOT tire,stock flywheel,stock clutch and stock heads...The rules change from track to track.

  • @marshcase it also defines that you can NOT run any parts on the car/motor that are not STREET parts, such as aluminum heads, aluminum intake, roller rockers, fuel injection, etc...

  • Cool, we have to run a minimum 10' dummy converter with a dd. Personally we run a stock manual saginaw with a vette fly wheel. DD's cost around 300-400 fresh rebuild up here in northern mich.   • I have a monte carlo stret stock sounds just like that, like he said the light weight clutch assembly causes the throttle response to be quicker.

  • this car has a 406 ci, eagle crank,lunati rods,srp pistons, motown heads, lunati solid lift cam. lightweight rotating assembly is what makes the engine rev so fast. lot of money in that engine. Van Senus Racing Engines out of Hammond, IN.
