Thanks for the lesson Willi. It must be hard slowing down for us beginners. In the second scale, if I dare use the word, you missed saying the fourth note comes from the A string 3rd fret. Your video and audio is so good though that it is not hard to pick it out.
yah it does... cus im good and you are a wanna be. and the report button is for p*ssies. please dont tell your mommy on me... and trolls are mythical creatures. you dont make sense
Actually he makes quite a bit of sense. First of all, nobody cares how well you play, if you appreciate guitar, then that's all you have in common. Secondly, "trolling" is a term used to describe someone who will (randomly) post a comment that doesn't help anyone and is just plain mean, usually made by assholes.
Awesome lesson man. Good stuff. ...The phrasing in this sounds a bit like something that Omar from The Mars Volta would use.... On a side note, no offense but the guitar tone in this one is a bit ugly haha.
Im a very beginner, i have an electric guitar, im left handed. when i put my fingers to the frets i feel lost because i don't know what all the notes are and there positions or the relationship between what frets you hold down to what strings you strike.
@kaleluk31 learn scales, learn the major scale, not the on that uses only one string or one position but learn the whole scale all the way across the neck.
@kaleluk31 no no no...scales,pentatonic scales are too hard..don't listen to other people. Learn some chords, G,C,A,D etc.(aka whole chords)Learn how many strings are used to strum each chord. learn finger placements, and dont hesitate and have a comfortable feel.Listen to some music artists that interest you. Learn some of your favorite songs.aafter that..get a teacher :D thats what helped me. 2 years and counting!!!! and im still a begginner!! theres decades to learn!!!!
@8thH0k4ge I cant allow you to recommend this to anyone, you should not spend more than 1 week learning only cords and strum patterns, you have to introduce pentatonics early on either in slow sample solos or exercises
by the time they are proficient on that they will have superior solo and rhythm skills
if you have any realistic musical goals such as a band it is going to happen around high school. so as you may learn all your life it is critical that you learn early and fast
@aitsBRAD ive only been playing for 2 years but i practiced, learned quickly, learned what only needed and now i would consider my self as intermediate- advanced
and am the only guitarist in a succesful band that plays in front of thousans of people
@aitsBRAD you must not listen to a lot of music if you think you're "the only guitarist in a succesful band that plays in front of thousans of people".
@fonzarelli, haha yes you're probably right. Either way it's not for me to decide what people mean to say I can only be sure of what they actually say.
I'm enjoying these intermediate targeted lessons, i didn't quite get them when i used to see them, but now i can use the for good practice, thanks NLG!
people moaning about a slightly dirty fretboard, man up its just a bit of dirt i never clean mine, whats the point? its the music not how pretty and clean his fretboard is

Buckethead !
This video is a good primer for bucketheads harmonic dissplacement.
Good for bach too if you think about BWV 847
To see a brother play this good gives me hope for humanity.
azkeyz 1 year ago
@Qwaybabii
Use harmonics to tune your guitar:
Flageolet on the low e-string, fith fret is the same note as flageolet on the a-string, 7th fret etc
For the b-string:
Flageolet on the low e-string, 7th fret -- b-string 12th
You hear a kind of vibration between the 2 notes if they're not exactly the same.
