I watched MTV's first moments with the Moon Man graphic and saw the first video ever aired on the station: Video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles. To call what the network is now airing rubbish is a terrible insult - to rubbish. Reality Shows have illed the Music Industry, Scripted Television, and American Culture - thanks to The Real World series. In all of Cable TV, PBS is the only network to hear new music, well, any music really. From a long-time musician - screw you MTV!

the purpose of advertisement is to sensationalize a product. These small clips that they post do just that. ive thought similar things to what youve said about other clips here. Upon following the links to the full lectures I find that what brought me to it was just that. I mean, it was enough to spark this discourse wasn't it?
