damn braydenfleece! you got a damn nice truck here but quit bein so defensive about ifs lol... its good and its bad.. it depends on wether or not you know how to use it. lol. But nice zr2.
the reason i went with a full size straight axle is because the my cv axles kept breaking, ball joints stayed worn out, steadily had to put wheel bearings in, and when the ear broke off the front diff i just cut it all out, the engine sounds cool in the truck though and it will look good with big tires on it
maybe i talked too much junk about ifs, i was looking through my videos and ran across one where i hooked my 01 silverado to one of my bulldozers and tried to pull it out, i got pretty rough with it like this multiple times and it has held up so far
DAMN! how hard was it to swap an LS1 in? did it require making custom parts yourself, or maybe there are companies that provide the parts for doing the swap?
@BraydenFleece sure are. im ready to drop a lq9 stroker in my 03 zee. have you wheeled with it yet? i have done some light wheeling and my 5" bds is falling apart. broken liftblock, stripped tie rod extension sleeve and some REALLY wierd noises comming from the front end (already replaced whole front end) 35" tires cant help but with just light wheeling it shouldent be falling apart this bad. gonna need a solid axle anyways with the stroker goin in
This or a Ranger FX4 with the new 5.0l V8? Tough choice.

I'm sure you need a straight axle for all the BMX jumps you're "mall crawling" over.
If you don't have anything constructive to add, STFU.. otherwise you'll get blocked and won't be able to post anything.

Why would I swap in a solid axle when I can make IFS handle 1200hp ?

Should stay in there a long time. LS1's are pretty bulletproof.
