  • this was really GEN X

    not generation x

  • @196177 On this track John McGeoch is on guitar.

  • BEAUTIFUL very beautiful tone to those DRUMSTICKS

  • this an awesome song i love it i cant go a day without hearing it

  • THIS ISN'T GENERATION X...it's Gen X..totally different band...Billy Idol and Tony James are the only cats from the old band..steve jones(the pistols) of the pistols on guitar and james stevenson(the damned) Terry Chimes(the clash) on drums....fucking best album Idol ever did..inventive..tones of PiL actually...check out the song UGLY RASH...b side of dancing with myself.....

  • @196177 Kiss Me Deadly is the best Billy album, indeed. It failed to make the charts. Now we know why he went solo after this final Gen X album. He still was and is unappreciated. Even though Billy is better than Elvis, the prior would never exist without the latter. Still, Billy was the best ever.

  • i already joined i love billy idol and gen x

  • McGeoch showing his luminous genius on guitar yet again with this track ...still have my original vinyl copy of KMD from the early 80's and this is always high rotation track ...

  • HEY GENERATION X FANS! WHERE ARE YOU!! LETS MAKE FACEBOOK FAN GROUP OR SOMEWHERE ELSE TO BE TOGETHER

  • @DRUMMERLORD95 ...Wicked good find pally!!

  • yes they did (sigue sigue sputnik) and like the sex pistols before them took the record industry for a few quid 'good boys'

  • Did gen-xs other members go on to anything?

  • Can someone post the lyrics of this song please? I'm italian and i'm not able to understand the song.. Thank you!

  • Loved Mark Laff in the first incarnation of Gneration X but in the wordsof Tony James, for the Kiss Me Deadly album they "needed Charlie Watts not Keith Moon". Always thought this track had Steve New on guitar, I remember reading in a Record Mirror review by Mke Nichols that McGeoch played on "Triumph" and "What Do You Want". With SteveJones and James Stevenson too would love to know who played on what track!

  • Yep more McGeoch magic, misses Mark Laff's drumming though, Chimes was so plodding !

  • Genial vídeo, congratulations.

  • This is another song that really rocks. It represents so much more than the image of being a punk musician. It shows that talent is inside us all. Just like "Heaven`s inside" us all.

  • My all-time favorite Gen X song; McGeoch's guitar is so distinctive and identifiable. An incredible post-punk song, fantastic.

  • but it still punk =)

  • Yes, not the same as Generation X. Nice stuff fer sure. :D

    Thanks for posting. :D

  • @allendl181 Barely "post punk"...not sure if I like that6 label dude!!!! :0{

  • I can't quit listening to this album. It's sounds best when jumping on a trampolene... does anyone know where I can find these lyrics?

  • around 1:10 is that his sisters top /shirt hes wearing?

  • underrated album. many people just dont get it. I bought all three albums when I found out who did "Kiss Me Deadly" love them all.

  • Wild Youth sounds like he's saying wild jews lol.

  • Great song!!

  • Hey, were did you get these pics x

  • "Very" nice indeed.

  • i love this song

  • The Video is Billy's Hairstyle story - which is Awesome x.)

  • i love billy :)

  • love this song

  • Paradise City also borrows from another GenX song - the bass run in Youth Youth Youth - not sure if Duff is aware of it, though

  • Punk Rock

  • what does he sing exactly?

    i can't find the lyrics : (

  • no billy is the second from the right, next to tony james

  • I can hear a strong resemblance between part of this guitar riff and the one Slash plays on "Sweet Child Of Mine." They are not identical but they are both very close.

  • 2:02

    Brown hair!

  • 2:02 which 1 is billy? he smoked?

  • He's the one on the right right. Yeah, he did smoke.

  • thanx! he had such a great voice, i hope he hasn't ruined it.

  • Nah, he still sounds sexy. :P

  • a absolutely perfect song

  • mmm i cant find this song on limewire

  • You know I like the first and Last album by Generation X Kiss me Deadly is a great album and what great way for Generation X to go out. By the way the Guitars rock on this album.

  • billy idol is capable of hypnotize any girl in this world wit those gorgeous blue eyes that he has

  • and many boys aswell!

  • dearest billy you are MY heaven inside.I absoultly love his G X days, believe me I was there always, and ALWAYS will be till thee end.

  • Great pics and I've aways loved this song!

  • I absoultely love this tune and billy too

  • I just can't get enough :-)

  • Gen X is fantastic. IDOL has never done wrong. Was he just MEANT for greatness?

  • i love this song make me dance in my room with the lights off

  • this is the best....billy idol is the number one..

  • God I love this song.

  • Gen X and Billy Idol are magic !!!

  • incredible

  • thanks

  • wasnt James Stevenson in kim wildes "kids of America " music video , like they show him playing the guitar for a quick shot???

  • Thank you, for a great Video.

  • This is a great song. The guitar playing is excellent.

  • Boy, you can spot John McGeough's guitar playing mile away, can't you?

  • What other bands was John in?

  • Apart from working on sessions for Gen X (along with a host of others), John was in Magazine, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Armoury Show and PIL. Easily the best guitarist I ever saw. Sadly he died a couple of years ago.

  • is it him? i can hear what you're saying tho, and i saw him live, about 5 feet in front of me, with PiL. ive got just as many pics of HIM as i do johnneh!!!

    RIP.

  • Yeah as far I know, it's McGeough. There were a pile of guitarists on that last Gen X album. Apart from McGeough, there was Steve New, Danny Kustow and Steve Jones.

As far as I can remember, James Stevenson never actually played on the album, since it was already complete by the time he joined. Mind you I could be wrong about that, as memories fade, but I DO remember Tony James telling me something to that effect back in the day, and I guess he'd know, wouldn't he?
