It is choreographed by Igor Moiseyev in 1994. Riverdance asked him to put the dance. He gratis did that and sent a group of his dancers(known now as "Moscow Folk Ballet Company") that they have taught Irish.But Riverdance lured those Russian dancers, and they became to dance in Riverdance(but very soon they were sacked).And now in the titles Moiseyev isn't an author.The result-Riverdance making money and not paying for author's rights.

The music sounds very familiar ... like Bulgarian music the time signature is 7/8 very typical for the Bulgarian folklore music!

I can't see nothing Russian in the music neither the dance :)))

this is incredible. one thing i wanna check though is the time signature a bar of quick 4/4 then a bar of 7/8 (so effectively 15/16) is that right?? (at the start of the piece that is)
