  • ActRaiser had you playing as the God of the Bible. E.V.O. Search for Eden had you going through the various stages of Darwinist evolution. You had one game that was about Creationism and another about Evolution.

  • I much prefer this version of creationism.

  • i rented this game back in the day when it came out, and for some reason i got 5 mins into the game to the part where you face the guy on the horse and no matter what he WOULD NOT DIE, no matter how many fucking times i hit him. restarted the system and blew in the cartridge many many times, and it happened every time. i was sooo disappointed cause i heard this game was awesome. bad snes memory for me :( along with the extreme difficulty of super ghouls and ghosts.

  • I heard this has similarities to Dark Cloud 1

  • @moogle301

    how so?

  • @DarkGreen2000 I'm not sure. :| It just said they had similarities in a review I read. Perhaps because there appears to be some sort of building element in both?

  • 2:03 that music reminds me of Soul Blazer! related?

  • this was a great game. It had the perfect combination of action and strategy.

  • The SIM parts were easy as shit. Just destroy what you need to then get the people to build on all the monster lairs. THis is one of the best SNES games imo. Instead of getting rid of the SIM part in Act Raiser 2, they should have just refined it. It was a good mix of both, and i like being able to interact( some what) with the people.

  • :'(

  • I always thought this was one of the easier snes out there, although the side scrolling levels looked good for the snes at the time...and the sim type play was interesting but got a little monotonous after a while..still a decent game..

  • Wonderful how a game could use biblic things and turn it into an alltime classics. ActRaiser was one of those games i grew up and respected the SNES for making.

  • This is a look into the past for me. Part of my childhood is slightly relived in watching these speed runs as silly as that sounds. These games had a certain feel to them when you were younger that is not found today, due to being older or maybe a difference in the games themselves. Good stuff.

  • @sasquach37 yes indeed. This is good stuff. I watched a legend of Zelda 2 speed run the other day and man did that take me back. I loved this game!

  • One of the very BEST games on the SNES!!! It appears no cheats, just the death as a short cut were used in all of these parts... Sir VG has got the monster spawn spots covered in all of these scenes! Awesome!!! Keep the Speedruns coming SDA! Thanks for posting on youtube!

  • You play as a God in this game. It's a combination of a side scrolling platformer and a game like Civilization, where you make a city. You should try it out, it's pretty fun, and the side-scrolling parts are pretty challenging.

  • Man, Enix made some good games back in the SNES days. Actraiser, EVO, Soul Blazer Series.., Too bad they didn't give us the SNES DQ games...

  • I remember playing this game when i was like 6, even at that young i recognized how awesome the music was for this game. classic stuff

  • @steviematic well there are always the fan translations and usb snes controllers
