We went to Stoney Middleton (the neighbouring village) for a Geography last year for a GCSE thing, but went to Eyam just for the sake of it (and the fact it had things other than houses) And I was so excited when I saw this video because it brought back so many memories of then. Best trip ever.
When you go, look out for the villiage shop, outside it is a little sweet machine like where you put in a 20p and the label says "Top qaulity" which I found so ironic :P I love that place <3
brilliant Video - this is a really lovely village - also when you go - visit the Miners Arms pub - the landlord is fab and what a great pub it is - really friendly and welcoming atmosphere
Eyam is one of my favourite villages in the Peak District not only for its history but the friendly residents. I frequently walk my dogs to Eyam and always visit the hostoric Boundary Stone.
eyam , famous for the plague all those years ago is now a perfect peak district village , and well worth using as a base to scout other peak district villages and also great walks
