Lol, In the manga its different, Usagi is in the castle alot longer and Mars, Jupiter and Mercury got taken with her, Venus didnt get captured. And Prince Diamonde actually comes up to her and kisses her then she hits him away, not like in the anime :S

I think, while having tuxedo mask rescue her is sweet and gives fanservice to the much anticipated confrontation between the he and demando, it takes away from Usagi's strong will and personality given to her in the manga. She wasn't a damsel in distress and very self-sufficient if need be. The story gave power to her strong character and having her rescued kind of deprives her of that symbol she represents.
