Ive actually heard both theories that Senbonzakura is a girl compared to a guy since they never stated that Senbonzakura was a guy before the filler arc and that Senbonzakura was one of the gender confused ones since many people figured Senbonzakura was a girl. (mainly cause of the way it looks and the -zakura at the end)

Randan, you're half right. Zangetsu is the old man in the black cloak. He IS targeted by Maramusa(the guy who is supposedly making Zanpaktou's follow their instincts). Ichigo defeats Zangetsu and wins him bac.This was a BIG SPOILER. :)
