if you want to get technical any recorded live music isn't really "live" anymore. right? And even without overdubbing...the recording is proccessed through boards not from the audience..

the only way to hear live is to hear it LIVE-- that's it.

Cheating? How can you cheat in music? Maybe the idea of dubbing is to give you more of a live feel then just keeping the normal live track.

He's really overdubbing the tracks of a live concert! I know many people call this cheating and I think so if it's done to fix mistakes, because it make records sound too perfect, but if you listen to Live At Budokan you will notice that the guitar is overdubbed because there's a recording sounding in the left speaker and another in the right speaker, but Scott doesn't fix the screw ups (which is good, that keeps the live feeling), he just enhances the sound of the recording.

Not sure if that is what he is doing but EVERYBODY overdubs live recordings. Either to fix a mistake or sometimes if the sound of the recording is not that great they will go back to fix it. Just a trick of the industry
