  • Thanks so much for all of the positive feedback. Mark Adams was a powerful inspiration to me and even though I don't practice much these days, I can play those songs in my sleep. I used to play with a high school band called Radiance in the early 80s out of Rochester, NY and the funk is what got me over the hump. Thanks so much!

  • @feelnpeace Nice work especially on Stone Jam...Like you, Mark Adams inspired my playing back in the day as well. I wore the needle out on Wait for me and Party Lites!

  • This is by far the best tribute I have seen of Mark Adams, The Hansolor and Mark "Drac" Hicks! You guys both possess tremendous talent to lay the groove down just like the originals, "Watching You" and "Stone Jam". And I know Slave's music very well, as a matter of fact, I love their music and I own every album they ever put out from their 1977 self-titled debut to 1996's Masters Of The Fungk.

  • Great job brothers. I wore Watcing You out when it was on wax. I didn't know Drac had passed. Slave is part of my foundation in music education and my bass playing.

  • I was a singer with Drac for 4 years until he died June 14th...Thank you so much for showing this..much Love ... I am sure Drac and Mark is looking down on you both smiling...:) Thanks...Benita

  • GREAT WAY TO REMEMBER SOME GREAT INNOVATORS. R.I.P DRAC AND MARK

  • This is one of the best tribute videos i've seen so far for Mr Mark and Drac. Ya'll did em justice. The groove and delivery is on point fellas and this is comin from a true Slave fan!!! Thank you guys so much... Rest in peace Mark and Drac.

  • I was trying to say "I could see how the music was moving you both".....

  • @mhbass Thanks so much. The guitar player Rick Marcel is the man--he played on a lot of the Cash Money records stuff--e.g. Party Like a Rockstar. I pretty much just mess around on bass to keep chops up. Thanks for the encouragement.

  • Ain't it funky now! Would love to see more of you bros. I couldn't see how the music was moving you both...yall was definitely locked in.

  • Nice tribute, you guys are on point!!
