Sorry he actually married her in 51. Also he wore the patch for the same reason MJ had the glove "identifaction", or to bedifferent. He had no eye problems what so ever. He is often refered to as the Baron of Country Music. He served in Korea during the same time period my grandfather and Johnny Cash did (early 50s). He eventullay died in 95 from stomach cancer caused by drinking which he actually quit in 73.
I WILL always be FAN of Dick Curless, His music kept me company more than once out on the slab. Listened to him and Sovine, Simpson and Bare, that we shouldve been been runin' QAUD!!! Of course with Hank Sr. as alternate.
Need more country music like this!! Road Hammers, Shooter Jennings, and others are trying, but, tour bus trucking is different from REAL trucking. So, no clue. Good tunes, but clueless.
Now, I will duck, and shield myself with my logbook. OOPS, I'm already screwed!!!
I like those curvy chicks, Hot pants and pantie hose, Truck stops and coffee shops....Man this song really captures the early 70'sthe Side burn havin Ratchet jawed gear jammin truckers I remember as a kid what a cool song
Good day. Please, can you send to my mail anpouch@seznam.cz Dick Curless' (mp3) song All of me belongs to you? I love this song, but I didn't found, where I can get/buy this song. If you want to send some song from me, type something. Thank you very much. František Dobrota
That picture sure looks like a screen shot from Buck Owens' Ranch Show, but I don't think we'll ever be able to find that out! Great song nevertheless, and the word "underappreciated" sure says it right. I'd add "undeservedly underappreciated"!
That show is indeed from Buck Owens' Ranch Show. Dick appeared on the show several times, and was in Buck's road show from 1966-68. Buck also produced some of Dicks recordings during that period, with The Buckaroos playing behind him.
Well, I have now seen this actual performance. Dick sure was a big big man (by all means). He did "The Baron" on this particular guest appearance with Buck.
Met Dick in 1954 at the silver dollar on exchange street in Bangor Maine. I have sang the iceman song for a lot of people. I'll never forget Dick and the nine pound hammer. Troy Martin
I think this song is awesome, great trucking song, it should have made it further up the charts, never heard it before till i got sirius sattelite radio and for a while once a day for just an hour they would play old trucking songs, i used to really look forward to it but they don't play them anymore.
Yup, they say the truth. Country music.

Dick Curless- King of the Basso Profundo baddasses. And he wasn't even a southerner- He was a New Englander.

Yep...from Fort Fairfield, Maine...about twenty miles from where I grew up.
Needless to say, he is an Aroostook county icon.
