Yes you can use a rig set up with slow death. In fact Fin-Tech tackle actually markets a SD rig with their sliding sinker (removable weights and way cool). I've used both by using the normal crawler and injecting the best I could (considering it is broke in half) with good results. Gary Parsons

could you lindy rig this set up? or would you have to use a worm blower to keep it off bottom then? just wondering if you can tweek this rig or not.

you are right. The Slow Death technique is a slow troll or drift presentation with a bottom bouncer. Not really designed for casting
