I do hate hippies, the whole 'I believe he was on drugs to come up with that stuff' mentality is an absolute insult to the whole concept of creativity and imagination. There's a reason they call it dope...and ditko was no dope!
@madcapoperator To be honest, I thought that Ditko may have been on drugs when he did Dr Strange, or at least I said it. But I understand that he's very conservative, a Randian. and thus unlikely to agree with recreational drug use.
Stan Lee is kind of like Walt Disney, he takes all the credit for everything. I attended a lecture about the Golden Books for children and I learned a lot of illustrators for Golden Books were "exiles from Disney", who left his studio because he demanded prefection in EVERYTHING.
Hey Neil Gaiman: Ditko couldn't have been that "uptight" to do some of the proto-psychadelic art he did. Maybe you're the one with the narrow worldview.
Neil Gaiman's full of shit. Stan's insincts weren't spot on. It was uber-cheesy and not very dramatic (actually kind of predictable) to make it someone he knew.
@Mrcool210 Incorrect. It would have maintained the quality we saw early on. It had edge. It's sort of like comparing the early Superman to the Boy Scout stooge he later became.
With all the shit repeats BBC pours on us in the UK, why do they never repeat anything decent like this or the Comics Britannia programs. So thanks for postin all this.
Neil Gaiman is a great artist/writer, but he ruined the Eternals.

Why is it that when Dr. Strange enters the astral plane it looks suspiciously like the opening to Doctor Who?
