I am going the other way around going to the regular long stock that you just took off and I am having a problem. I can't seem to tighten the thing. There is play after I put it in and assemble it. I've tried everything already....
that end plate has way to much going on, just get a tapco. it is out of the way and ambidextrous, it doesnt do strap type attachments but any serious single point sling has a hook.
@jigglejack100 If you are going from rifle length to carbine length then yes you will need a carbine length buffer and spring. If you are going from commercial carbine length to milspec carbine length I don't think you need too. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think there is a difference between springs/buffer commercial/milspec.
im ordering a jg m4 416 aeg rifle. it has a fixed stock that houses the battery. will i be able to replace this stock with a matrix "fat" type battery crane stock?
jg m16a4 and i waant to change out the stock, stock and get like one u have in the video so i was hoping u could tell me a site where i can get the kit like every thing u did in the video but the tools better thing were u or your fraind get all the thing one there like the spring the stock buffer and all that and how much plz comment back
I have an M16 A4 with a fixed stock that I want to replace with a Magpul CTR. Will the buffer length matter? or do I have to get a carbine buffer? If so what would you recommend?
this wasnt very helpful to me, but thts because i knw nothing about guns (^.^) , but im sure it most be realli helpful to people tht hav guns. 5 out 5 from me!! :)
@TMHonfire102 This nut will probably be replaced in the near future, or else it is a good idea to stake the nut to keep it from backing off. Thanks for watching.
Great video man, I saved it to my favorites for later. I just purchased a new endplate for my AR so I can start using a single point sling. Thanks brother, this will help me when I go to install it
I was going to do this same video last week but the red Loctite screwed me over. Stripped the head of the A2 screw so now I have to drill it out. I like to use the castle nut wrench in the opposite direction so I'm pushing down on the handle instead of pulling up. Probably doesn't matter but it seems to slip less for me that way. Great informative vid. You're right, there's not a lot of vids on this type of modification.
@MrSurgicalPrecision I about stripped the screw on this one. Like I said it was a pain in the butt! These screws are really soft metal. Thanks for watching man!

Did you need the assistance of a vice to break the buffer tube? I've tried to take mine off before without much luck. Nice video btw.
AgGuy07 8 months ago
@AgGuy07 The buffer tube can be tough to get off, using a wrench on the end helps.
DocTacDad 8 months ago
Didn't know the end of the stock could be removed that way. Thanks.

Why didn't the takedown detent fall out when you took the spring out?
gunnyranger2 10 months ago
@gunnyranger2 There was a little bit of friction that kept it in.

@Scorpion4646 You will need a carbine length spring and buffer. They are not too pricey and you can find then just about anywhere.
