I dont wanna spoil it for you, but you should get Crisis Core to fully understan what happened. So im just gonna summariza what happened. While Tifa was giving them a tour of outside Nibelheim, they came to the reactor. Sephiroth saw one of Hojo's monsters in the chamber and started wonderin if he was like them. The next day, they went to Shinra Manor basement, and Sephiroth shut himself in the library to learn about the Cetra, and thats how he came to.... I'll finish summary on another reply.

Undertand how he was made. The next day, he set Nibelheim on fire, and killed the townspeople. Zack found cloud hurt, and sephiroth in the middle of the fire. Zack followed him to the reactor to find him with Jenova and Tifa hurt. They fought and Zack got hurt. Cloud came in to find Zack hurt along with Tifa, and Zack gasping for air, told Cloud to Finish Sephiroth off. Cloud got the buster sword, an jumped to finsish sephiroth. But sephiroth stabbed Cloud and.... Finish on one more reply.

Threw him into the chamber where Jenova was. Sephiroth went to Cloud and stabbed him again to raise him into the air. Cloud having stronger willpower, outstrengthed Sephiroth, and threw him into the reactor. Cloud being badly injured, collapsed next to Zack. Hojo then comes to find them and decides to use them as test experiments. Five years pass as Hojo experiments until Zack sees Angeal and wakes up. They flee Nibleheim trying to return to Midgar, but they..... Finiash on one last reply

They flee Nibelheim to return to Midgar, but because of fleeing Hojo's lab, they are now fugitives, which is why they are being hunted down. Hoped this helped. And i saw the anime movie too, which had different content from Crisis Core Nibelheim incident. Look for the Crisis Core one instead, i think its better.

I'n CC, he moved about 1/10th the speed he usually did at the last 3, he hit extremely slow, and he only had 1 hp/ whatever amount of hp you have.

In fact, about anything you see about final fantasy VII, always take the first game as the original/real version... Anyway, in crsis core, with the graphic details, and all, as a director, would you really have your main character's head crushed by bullets? 'course not! So they romanced that part a little for it to fit in the remake, that's all, it's not "just because maybe cloud didn't remember it clearly", as some would say, duh! Same thing for the vocabulary (compare this scene with remake!)

Ok listen up everybody, if anybody needs any questions ask me but this sums it up. Cloud wasnt in SOLDIER untill he killed sephiroth (the real one). SOLDIER is injected with jenova cells which make them make stronger and faster than regular. After cloud killed sephiroth, they had cloud injected with jenova cells and put in SOLDIER. Also this always confused me untill i found out, but if anybody is wondering, CLONE in ff7 only means that they were injected with jenova cells, not actually cloned

No, SOLDIER's are given mako infused eyes, that's it. They DID inject Cloud with Jenova S Cells though, but he did NOT become SOLDIER. They just EXPIREMENTED with Cloud & Zack, though Zack was the only one who, I think, accepted the Jenova cells in his body, but Cloud couldn't, which is why he was in a coma-ish, dumb-ish state.

Crisis Core just milked the sad parts for all they were worth. In CC he gets to see Cloud one last time and tell him that he must live on. Cloud doesnt have to see Zack falling to the MPs

In FFVII Zack simply gets shot while he's trying to care for Cloud, and the Soldiers run up and empty rounds into his face at point blank range while Cloud is lying only feet away. There is nothing left for him than a dead friend and a sword to take with him so he can crawl to Midgar not even knowing who he is

That isn't really true. He actually WAS on that mission, but he was one of the nondescript soldiers in blue. His memories were swapped with Zack's for some reason, I forgot why. He DID join SOLDIER, but didn't get the rank he wanted and hid himself from the other villagers out of shame. This is revealed when Tifa goes into his head when the village Cloud was in when he had Mako poisoning gets destroyed and they go into the Lifestream.

Last Order was made years after the game and they did change some stuff from the game, like where Sephiroth was thrown into the lifestream in the game but he jumps in willingly in Last Order.

I guess they decided some stuff would have been better if done differently, so they changed a few things. *shrugs*

Actually I think in the Final Order Zack got in the way of the bullet and was injured badly, and managed to take Cloud up to those hills, then that's probably when he said "Cloud run!"
