  • So I took your advice and I recorded an attempted transaction at Family dollar. The cashier told me they no longer accept ANY internet printable coupons. I posted my experience on Family Dollar's page. I got a response in 52 seconds! I'll let you know how it turns out. ITs a shame but I feel like I should do this at every store now.

  • I'm in the process of going thru a huge war with a local rite aid manager. Long story short, she says I can't use 2 $3 off KY coupons when I buy one at full price with the 2nd at 50% off. I have calls into corporate an wad even contacted by a loss manager that says I can't. They say the coupon says one per customer. Look for my video on this soon. All couponers need to unite.

  • lol its like having a golden ticket they need!!!!!.... I will have to start doing that because us as couponers we get judged like if we are doing something wrong sine we use coupons now with that been said let me ask you..I was at cvs last night got the L'oreal hair dye that was on clearance. I used the $5/ off of 2. the coupon exceeded the total so the manager adjusted it down was that right??

  • I agree with you that there are some rude cashiers that give us problems with coupons. But before anyone click that button to record. They need to know their state law when it comes to recording someone without their permission.

  • @ansbach74 there can be no expectation of privacy in any public place. Don't forget..they are recording us too...

  • I just wanted to say thank you so much for this post i had a bad run in with a cashier at walmart he adjusted all my coupons down he said that there not supposed to give you cash back and he wouldn't price match an item and use my coupon on the price match he said that i could either use the coupon or price match and i was so upset but i kept a smile on my face the whole time but i now i know for next time to just record the bull i almost wanted to give up on couponing.

  • @TCee321 yeah that is lame. I can't stand walmart but getting cash back sure makes it worth the trip sometimes. Incidentally, they are very good at a corporate level when it comes to resolving complaints. They're always fighting negative press as it is. They don't want any more!

  • I was snubbed by Walmart and Target yesterday!! I pray I remember to record being at the store with two kiddos.. For Walmart they told me they dont price match Dollar Stores!, Then I pulled up their policy on my phone and told them otherwise, then the cashier said ok hold on, came back and said that the manager said since it wasnt EXACTLY like the picture they couldnt do it! When she had just price matched a CVS Kotex .99 deal that was worded below a Carefree and Always picture!! Grrrrrrrr!

When it comes to couponing in my town these people are so rude, and yr right they don't know what they are talking about or doing most of the time, so now i know what to do about it. There has been several times i have been turned away at walmart b/c of people like this, and family dollar don't even get me started! So thanks again for posting this! Oh would this work to if they don't take the time to explain why they are not trying to take my coupon?

  • @ leash. U go girl. Needed this when I had a situation at FD. Did the FLACRAFTER on him and asked for district managers name And number. Store manager quickly fixed my problem and got me out of there. All drama. For 2 $1.00 covergirl beauty tools. wish u luck!!! Lol!!!

  • Great tip! I'm new to couponing & I've only done 2 transactions so far but I'll have my Iphone at the ready just in case. I don't know why some clerks react as if the money is coming out of their pockets. They should be taking notes to do the same or share with people they love instead of giving attitude. TFS!

  • I was told by one mgr that Rite Aid stores get fined $2500 every time someone complains to corporate. And, if an employee get two offenses, they are fired. So, Rob is right. Your feedback is taken seriously.

  • Thank you for this Video. I had a horrible time a wags tonight. I did 4 transactions all of them went perfect except for the last. The huggies deal. Now I did the huggie deal I transaction number 2 and I went fine. Got back my rr everything was fine. But my last transaction - number 4 was the same as trans 2 but no rr. They even voided it and did it again. So I called the wags customer service and the lady was so rude! She said that I had to have $25 worth of huggies AFTER COUPONS?? Really?? Th

  • Rob, i tried to comment under your walgreens deals for this week but my iphone was acting funky so im not sure if you got it. I know you said you werent doing the therma care deal at wags this week.... (i wasnt going to do it either). But i got the red plum for this upcoming week today and there is a $10 rebate coming out on 1-29-12 for the therma care, so if you do 2 deals (buying 4 total) you should pay 1.96 oop. Making it a $8.04 MM after the rebate! I have a video posted about it.

  • Agree! Post on their facebook/tweet the FAIL. Took 3 times to get the Scrubbing Bubbles. Made the mistake of first checking with the clerk to see if the transaction would work. Such the runaround & each store has a different spin on the policy based on their store mgr. Tonight, I put the product & 1 extra item on the counter. Coupon policy in hand. Coupons scanned, clerk totally oblivious. Thanks Rob for all your good work! Can a store mgr override corp policy?? I bet they would sure try.

  • Thank you that was an empowering video. Sometimes it is hard to stand up for what is right but knowing that others are doing the same helps. These folks should know their own coupon policies!

  • what you say is true. i have received many gift cards. They will even give you gas fare too if you have to return back to the store because they wouldnt take your coupon. (if you ask for it) Also, when you post on their facebook page you get results.

  • You are exactly correct. This tactic does work. Corporate does not want negative publicly . If you follow up with them and also let them know you are on YouTube a lot happens. I will be uploading a video tomorrow about a store refusing to take a valid mfrs coupon for an item. I should receive the product tomorrow since the District Manager contacted me today.
