I've been a Deus fan since day 1. When Deus Ex 1 first came out, it was life changer. There is still no game that I've played as much. Imo there is no Deus Ex 2, because it is sucks balls compared to the other games in this series! Deus Ex Human Revolution repaired the damage though, it's an awesome game! I tried playing the old deus ex games . the story may have been good , the characters may have been interesting , the gameplay was lacking however and the aesthetic was just god awful . I couldn't get myself to play more than an hour of it . hr fixed those problems . and is one of my top five favorite games

@clayman90 The second one was a bit different though. I think it was a good game, just not a good sequel. In the first one, you see a bleak world on the verge of collapse, with ruin and desperation everywhere... the second one had that too, but it mostly was set in futuristic buildings, full of bright tones.

You should try the first Deus Ex, there are some patches that... "augment" the graphical quality of the game, even if the original visuals are not that bad..

@homy393 Deus Ex: Invisible War was an awful, watered down piece of console crap. Human Revolution suffers from similar problems, but it's nowhere near as bad as Invisible War was. At least in Human Revolution they brought back the traditional inventory system, allowed weapons to have separate ammunition, and gave you much more varied choices as far as augmentations go (even moreso than the first, in my opinion). The first Deus Ex was groundbreaking, the second was... crap.

@TarikProductions Well I've completed it. The gameplay is like nothing we have seen in the last 5 years, complete freeform gameplay, so many ways to complete a mission. The gunplay, cover system are excellent but are overshadowed by the masterful stealth mechanics. Furthermore, the Deus Ex universe is seriously amazing and all the little bits of information you can pick up from hacking computers etc just add to the experience. Also the whole game u feel like a badass predator from the shadows :P

@TarikProductions This game is full of subtle idealisms xD The main concept of the game is people who are rich being able to afford technological enhancements whereas the poor are left out - its hyped up to be the next stage of human evolution, or transhumanism. Throughout the game you make various choices that in the end sum up to deciding the course of the entire human race, as to whether they continue using the enhancements etc or not as well as some more complex solutions.

@TarikProductions Dude I can see you never played PC Deus Ex 1st version of the game which was waay back before the playstation 2 times, after I passed the game on PC I passed it on ps2. Best story game I think so far from back in those days. I haven't played this new one, but people are saying that it's very so i'm very excited when the day I get this game to pass. You should consider it too. I recommend you playing the first version first, or at least summarize it in the web.
