Miami fan here; The reason we let him go is because during the SIX years that we had him, he never did anything special. He was decent, but an average role player at best. Pat knew he had potential, so he let him go to a worse team and discover his potential instead of staying a role player on the Heat, because he would never discover his potential on the Heat. It's the same thing we did with Michael Beasley.
@TheReeeeeech No they didn't. They traded Beasley for cap room to sign Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem. The big 3 took big enough paycuts that they still had cap room after they signed. However, most people believe Beasley was traded so that the Heat could sign the Big 3, even though this is completely false. In fact, Beasley was traded AFTER the Big 3 officially signed.
@HeyYTplzDontBanMeK LOL he never did anything special coz he never had a chance, if he got the same amount of shots he would be this good for the heat, and he is still a roleplayer, the stars for the warriors are LEE, CURRY and ELLIS.. they just thought he was a scrub, but he wasnt

@DAkidLeftie08
he was a starer last year. He's spent his whole career as an injury plagued talent filled player. Don't comment on shit you know nothing about.
