You can get free stars as giga mac if you are using the wii remote alone press right on the d-pad and you will get a star

lo giga mac is practically cheat! unless you know how to time his moves right, theres a certain amunt of time between each of his punches memorize thoughs and keep boppin him in the head til you have three stars then when they run out wail on em :D

when i saw the preveiw of punch out wii in game informer, i though giga mac was the secret fighter because i had no damn idea who he was, and i heard there were only 2 unrecycled character, disco kid and the secret fighter

It seems to me like relying on memorizing an opponents attack patterns, rather than just quick reaction times, would put you at a disadvantage in this fight becuase humans are much harder to predict, and that someone who is really good the first time they played the game, but have only played to say TD Glass Joe, would probably beat someone who was a grizzled veteran, but wasn't very good when they first played.If you stop mashing the attack button you'd have an easier time dodging.

I agree with that statment, I used to be terrible at it, now I'm the only one in my family to have beaten the game, and I've never lost since the first time I played, I actually have a record 246-2

It actually seems like being Giga is a disadvantage, because while you are stronger, your punches actually give hints like the normal fighters, and you can get comboed easier if you miss.

It appears to be that initially, but Giga has excellent defence can also decide to taunt instead. Taunting gives Giga a star, and that sucker is hard to counter and it HURTS. Since you're a player and not a stupid CPU, you can throw it unpredictably and quickly end the fight.

Both characters are balanced and it's wicked fun to play!!

I don't know about that. The multiplayer here looks like nothing but a dodge/attack spam fest, something Punch Out wasn't really built on.

Maybe, but Punch Out's mechanics isn't really something I believe would flow well to multipleayer mode. Punch Out isn't like most fighting games.

What do you mean? Just turn it on. But my guess is, that you have to use the same control schemes, never tried head-to-head yet...
