  • People that live near the beach think they own it. Well sorry, its not your beach, it's everyones beach! This video is a joke, they show three news clips of all hell breaking loose, with a select few idiots that would act like that in church. Why ban, when they could just increase the fine? If the cops did there job, people could smoke and drink responsible. Scott Peters needs to be less Natzi and more American........Freedom,...remeber that?

  • @SA8N So happy I moved. Sell make money move. Then vote take money live better. Then use the resf to work on the borders. fukiscans did not land on the beach 30 years ago.

  • No way YOICHI.!!!This guy could be his Granddad.

Scott is 30 now and living well in Prague,Czech Republic the land of his Great Grand mother. He made millions in Wall Street and now he is a big shot investor in Green Energy and alternative fuels. Also works for the U.N. in the Green Earth Project under his real French or Italian name.

  • "we're gonna do what other california cities are doing..." .. Great, just great. So we're more like LA now, something every san diegan can be proud of. What a bunch of prudes, peters along with his lover kevin "flip-flopper" faulconer. I should be able to drink on the sand if I want to, I shouldn't need permission (or an expensive permit) from some corrupt scumbag politicians to drink. Hypocracy is what defines the SD city council. You can drink, as long as the city gets its cut.

  • Fucking scumbag...

  • is he Peter Kuzak of Colt?

  • No! I did the same thing. It's just a guy with the sam name,, haha

  • it's understandable to ban it if people are going to act like fucking idiots. it's always a few dumbasses that ruin things for everybody.

  • Yeah ban it! I don't mind! As much as I like to drink with friends, I wouldn't do it on something that had value to me when I wake up in the morning to find nothing but beer cans all over the place. Hundreds do come over here just to drink on our beaches. So ban it and drink at a damn area where drinks are served legally.

  • What a JOKE! I will never vote for Scott of Kevin Fucklner. Our City Council is CORRUPT.

  • If you listen closely you will notice that he said people come from hundreds of miles away just to drink on the beach. I say that we should just ban people from out of town. If you live more than 5 miles away, in any direction, sorry, you can't come on 'our' beach. I'm so glad that people are getting foreclosed on in and around 'my' San Diego. It will be nice to clean house and get back to the way it used to be. Jack Murphy would be proud!

  • not like i care but how would you be able to manage keeping people away from "your beach", its virtually impossible.. and secondly this is kind of an ignorant thing to say don't you think? 'MY' beach lol

  • No smoking on the beach, that's great, wish we had that in NJ!

  • Oh no! I just voted for this guy absentee! I can't believe I wasted my vote on one of the clowns who put in the booze ban!

I only voted for this guy because he was in favor of trying to keep the Chargers here...I didn't realize he was anti-alcohol on the beach

  • OMG werent you listening? He mentioned that there were too many beer bottles and cans on the beach an not to mention abit of violence as well due to alcohol.

  • OMG! Well if there were beer cans on the beach then we must make everything illegal. I think we should ban people from going to the beach...then we'll never have that problem!

Somehow, I feel like littering on the beach was already illegal. I miss when San Diego was still fun before it got a massive stick up its ass...

  • WTF? Well im sure you can enjoy the beach wihtout having a beer.

  • WTFROFLMAO!!!

Yes, I can enjoy the beach without a beer but that doesn't make the law justified. Trampling on our civil liberties for political gains may be something the SD City Council has gotten really skilled at lately but that doesn't make it right.

I can also enjoy the City of San Diego without alcohol at all but that doesn't mean passing a widespread prohibition is the right thing to do.

  • C'mon. its only a stupid law. Surely you can live with it:)

  • Yes,you are right, it is a VERY stupid law. And in this country, when our elected officials pass a "stupid law",we have the right to vote against them in the next election. That is why I am voting against every candidate who voted for it in the next election and support the recall effort against Kevin Faulconer. It is also why I am ashamed to have voted for Peters for Attorney (particularly now that he is peddling moronic ballot initiative to ban alcohol permanently). Thankfully he didn't win.

  • well the alcohol ban is not as bad as banning the beach.

  • some sundays when I ride my bike with my girls they were afraid of the drunks on the boardwalk...thanks Scott!
