Gears of War 2 - Review

This game deserves way more than an 8.2/10. It has a high quality campaign, fun multiplayer (no rank up system like COD, but still), and horde mode is a lot better than he makes it out to be. I think it is a lot of fun to play and each match is different whereas in COD zombies mode it plays out the same way every time. Add all this in with the fantastic audiovisual presentation (second to RE5), and you've got yourself one stellar package that'll keep you busy for quite a long time.

I'm a HUGE Gears of War fan mainly becuase i love the concept of the story. The first, IMO, was at the time, was good. It wasnt the best game in the world. Gow2 stepped up and the campaign was better but the MP was a disappointment. Gow3 will be the best of both games and hopefully GOTY

Why would you take away points from dead space or any game just because it doesn't have online multilayer?

I think online multilayer or co-op should be thought of as an extra bonus in a game, not expected (unless it's a game like COD witch depends on it's online) some games just don't need online, it's all about the single player experience (witch I think is way cooler than online), I mean, come-on who needs a God of War 3 online? You do the same over and over so for it to be in the slightest bit good it needs something other than an 8 hour story where its fun for the first few hours or so then gets boring.. I loved dead space for the first few hours but then found myself getting bored of it.. Also it has no replay value because once you complete it once its boring and nothing to do unlike most games which you can complete many times and still enjoy!

The reason gears has a better multiplayer is because well it was meant more as a multiplayer game, uncharted is based on the single player with finding the trinkets. it's like basing Mario Kart 64 against Goldeneye, they are 2 different things.
