  • RETARD take the bag off!

  • Spider mites are no fun but can be controlled, try isolating and increase moisture and humidity if possible and add peat moss between gaps in plants. Keep moist and mist plants to keep at bay. (mites hate moisure) Try mixing 1 part water to 1 part alcohol and spray leaves top and bottom, will kill on contact with little or no harm to plants. Miticides like avid, kelthane, or anything containing pyrethoids. Apply once every 5 days. Hope this helps you, take care.

  • I'm considering getting one of these trees. Thanks for this post and thanks to those who are leaving sensible and informative comments about the problem. Very educational. :)

  • Your problem is a simple fungas and spider mites, dont cover use a spray bottle and give 4-5 hours max sunlite. Suggest you change soil and use half pearlite and half peat to get right ph. Do this and your plant will respond...enjoy.

  • @TheFallguy11 Would you happen to know how to get rid of a very established spider mite infestation? Do spider mites build web-like strands between leaves and can be seen traveling on them? I have a big problem on my porch. They have killed my tarragon and are working on my peppermint.

  • Im not an expert but I think plants can die if the co2 levels in the bag and not suffient to maintain life so mabye it sufficated small holes in the bag may make a differnce in the plants health if it were still living.

  • It would do better in your house with water for humidity. Looks like a little salt burn on the tips of the leaves...too much fertilizer...nitrogen specifically.

    Watch for mealybugs...little bastards.

  • Find Mberry Tablets, Fresh Miracle Berries and Miracle fruit plants in various stages of growth from one of the Largest Miracle Fruit Stores in the U.S supplying Worldwide and helping everyone to enjoy the wonders of this berry at the most respectable prices. Take a look at all the various videos on our Website including Grey Goose Vodka making a Sour cocktail for the Miracle Berry! Just type in 'Miracle Fruit Hut' in google.

  • All these comments make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :S

  • Miracle Fruit plants prefer shade... It looks like either to much sun or lack of humidity.

    Beautiful plant BTW. ;)

  • Chemical Trails... Look up in the sky and see if you see trails of smoke or spray... a lot of people and plants get sick from Chem trails! Youtube chemtrails and see!!

  • @hydrobot2003

    You are human compost.

  • @hydrobot2003 yea the only chemicals released into the air are for farms, these so called "chemtrails" you speak of are not chemicals they are prodused by jets what exacly causes them I am not sure but I can assure you they are not deadly chemicals realeased into the air.

  • the PH level probly they like acidy soil and alot of sunlight

  • The Damage on your Miracle Fruit leaves resembles burns from a lack of Humidity. It's what happens to plants that require some moisture in the the air. What happens is the moisture in the leaves get leached / sucked out by the dry air and then those leaf areas die. I see the same damage on peoples house plant in the cold dry winters of the north. For indoor plants I place a large trey with a inch of water in it. As the water evaporates, the moist air rises up around the plant keeping a higher..

  • ..Humidity zone. Be sure to place the potted planter on a brick or something so the drain holes of the pot aren't submerged in the water. To keep Algae under control in the water pan, I add a dash of H2O2 (hydrogen Peroxide) from the drug store and slawsh it around. Hydrogen Peroxide will kill the Algae and a little bit diluted in water won't harm the plant unlike Bleach. Also your bag was a good Idea but you need to put Breathing holes in it. Plants need to breath too. ....

  • Make a wood and plastic Green house for it :)

To rid the bugs at the base of the plant try some Garlic cloves stuck half way into the soil. the smell will repel a lot of bug like Fungus Nats. I use Garlic and a Tree Oil extract called Neem Oil to rid All Bugs! the Neem oil came be found online or a Hydroponics Gardening center. Warm the Neem oil Vial under Hot water for one minute to melt it. add a tea spoon to 1 Liter of water and mist your plant and the top of the soil every 3 days 4 times. :)

  • Awe man, that's a big beautiful, expensive miracle fruit plant.

My friend had one that (she thought) died, but it came back! I hope yours is ok.

  • no direct sunlight

  • Please find miracle fruit and all the information you require + more videos located on our website Just simply search "Miracle Fruit Hut" on google, or take a look at our youtube channel!

and our plants come with Care sheets, So you will have no problem caring for them.

  • Mate you shed could do with a clean out.

  • YOU SHOULD BE ooppss! I Mean, you should be a comedian your funny. Why r u so angry? maybe? you need some Blueberry to chill you out a bit.Xx

  • ok, I just had to reply to your completely useless comment. hopefully, you'll understand that the Caps Lock button is not cruise control. Second of all, It's pretty gosh darn hot in Africa, what with all the rain forest and everything. I'm inclined to ask other growers in the states that also have the plant. In time, you'll learn that research isn't enough until you speak with someone who's has experience. Thanks anyways for your "unique" criticism. Next time use the Audio Preview button.

  • Oops, I seem to have deleted your comment. Could you please repeat your little rant about a free country and all that jazz?

  • ooh, remember to cut off the dead leaves.

  • oh man, don't water it too much, give it some good sun, not too hot though. Just sunlight with some light shading when the sun is hot. In its native habitat, there is a minimum of 12 hours sunshine everyday, humidity is good-high but not like you had in the plastic bag. That is drowning the poor thing. lol

Spray a mist of water over it and don't soak the soil in the pot. Sometimes too much love suffocates, you know...lol

  • Put it inside the house in a corner where it can get sun light and every few hours spray a mist of warm water on the leaves and repeat until healthy... Dont drown it!

  • Yeah, I would reccomend more sunlight, and probably try without the bag and see what happens.

  • do you use miracle-gro with your miracle fruit? :)

  • you can't use it with fruiting plants :P

  • It may be having problems breathing. Have you tried without the bag?

  • u water it in the sun on the leafs.

  • not to point out the obvious but plants need sunlight and your keeping it in a dark shed keep it in indirect sunlight (couple hours per day)

or call the place you got it from.

  • Clean up that dumpster of a garage...oh my!

  • That's not a garage, Kid. That's a shed.

  • you call him a kid, yet you look 15 with your "just got my facial hair" beard.

  • Just because your older than me doesn't mean I can't call you on your lack of common knowledge. Taking a jab at my 'stache or lack thereof is just a low blow, son.

  • calling someone a "Kid" has nothing to do with calling someone out on lack of common knowledge. thats just being a sheep and trying to act mature on the interwebs. except it makes you look like a tool, sorry.

not to mention, at first glance, your "shed" does look like a dirty garage.

  • I respect your opinion. I really don't care whether you or the next guy would call me a tool, kid, but when you think you can go around and insult another guy's 'stache; you got another thing coming.

  • lol, that made a me chuckle, so ill end it here. on a serious note, i hope your plants are going good, cause im about to embark on my own mircle tree journey here in a the next few days.

  • make a place for it inside and use suplemental lighting. If that plant gets a little direct sunlight with the bag touching the leaves you'll burn the leaves, which it looks like is happened. ever left a tarp out on the grass on a day?

  • check the video response for the update on my plant's status. i repotted it yesterday with new fresh soil. a mix of 50/50 sphagnum/perlite.

  • hey GET rid of the "miracle-grow" crap and use something real and organic like "foxfarm." if you feel you need to use something named "miracle" to go with your miracle plant, i suggest you look up and use a product named "miracle2." use the soap and neutralizer like they tell you. it worked some amazing feats for me and others i know.

  • hahaha miracle fruit is the name of the plant, not the soil, the plant is scientifically called Miracle Fruit: (Sideroxylon dulcificum/Synsepalum dulcificum) because of its properties of turning sour foods sweet

  • They normally grow in west africa but since ppl bring it to the united states and west africa is hotter u might wanna expose it to more sunlight

  • If you see white miniature bugs in the soil, I'd do two things: ONE, get an insecticide from your plant store and fog it in plastic overnight according to directions, TWO: When that is done there may be eggs in the soil. I'd take the plant CAREFULLY out of the soil, wash carefully and replant in new sanitized soil. As for the sun, smeone else may have to suggest something for you.

  • I don't think that bag is helping it.

  • Weed is better

  • you should grow weed instead

  • then bring it inside

  • I would, but there isn't much room for it inside, plus the lighting isn't too good.

  • Its Because You Smell Of Shit And Need To Get A Life :D

  • well, thanks for the criticism, even though I'M outside and YOU'RE inside playing halo with your imaginary friends. great job failing.

  • Lol Very True Ima Buy One of those trees. the fact that they make sour things taste sweeet.
