I saw a music video of Dead Space 1 with the same song.. it fits so perfectly. The Dead Space games are after all some of the BEST games ive ever played. isaac is a god... dead space 1 a docter convinced isaac to put the marker back on the planet.... he found a ship he could of just left he listened to the doctor mostly of hopes to find nicole... dead space 2.... sorry if i SPOIL anything but isacc built the marker (unwillingly) one reason to go back and destroy it then nicole convinced him to destroy the marker with her which was a lie so he sends ellie of with the gunship so he can destroy the marker he does but nicole only took him there 2 die
you know at end of dead space 2 theres a guy called the overseer so he could be the main villien in dead space 3 and if anyone watched dead space aftermath you actully see him in one scene.

*SPOILER ALERT* IF YOU HAVENT BEATEN THE GAME STOP READING THIS
Nicole wasnt really haunting Isaac, in the near final chapter Nicole says to Isaac "why cant you let me go" Isaac says "because you were my everything, and if i let you go, i have nothing" probably the best love line ive heard. So yeah, she wasnt really haunting him, the entire dead space games he knew she was dead, he just didnt want to let her go because he really loved her.
However, in the end, Nicole betrays Isaac and says that she tricked him to get close to the marker. Once near, and after sticking a needle in his brain through his eye (not joking), his mind would be wiped and she would make him commit suicide. Her only mistake was that anyone who is haunted by the marker, like Isaac, has the ability to destroy it! He does. So in the end nicole was just an aporitian of the marker used to lure Isaac so he would commit suicide.
However, when he destroyed the marker, watch the credits all the way till the ending. It says that the Sprawl was destroyed completely, but the marker wasn't destroyed. Then, a voice says to pick up the pieces. So, the marker might be around. (I know that this has nothing to do with Nicole, but I'm just telling ya. lol)
@TheGostofSparta Actually, the marker was destroyed, my mistake, lol. BUT! The Overseer said to pick up the pieces of the marker, so they might make a Dead Space 3! :D

@krisbeyk Nicole is dead, but she's still huanting him. Due to his exposure to the virus on the Ishimaura, Isaac has contracted a severe form of Deminsia. Once he awoke from his koma on the Sprawl he was contacted by a scientist who says that she can cure him if he reaches her in time. Otherwise, he will die. This is what drives him. On top of all this he is also being hunted down by the government! Poor Isaac indeed.
@TheGostofSparta not a virus, he was influenced by the marker which almost always causes hallucinations and irrational behavior. isaac just has visions mostly.

@krisbeyk very simple answer, he has no choice. without spoiling it isaac starts the game off completely clueless as to where he is and how he got there. any contacts he does make he either has no recollection of or has not met before. isaac is doing this partly out of a sense of personal responsibility and the other part is mostly survival instinct. if he doesn't do something he is screwed and throughout the game you will see the lengths he goes to to survive.
@krisbeyk well let's just say that he doesn't expect to survive the ordeal, that said he is fighting for his life tooth and nail. in the end he's just the kind of guy who knows that sometimes you gotta do what's necessary even though you might not live to see the result.
I think it's his will to keep going. He knows Nicole wouldn't want him to just simply give up. He being one of the few that know how to fight the Marker and the necromorphs so he knows how to stop them.
@krisbeyk maybe just the hope of going home is what keeping isaac going even though he has no family on earth his mother was a part of the church in the game, his dad dissapeared when isaac was a child but hey would you still wanna go home even if you have no family there and you are trying to escape an insane alien race
