  • @Whamesl0l not shapeshifting though

  • @theguitarhero649 yes it is ^^

  • @Whamesl0l Fuck you're right! I'm stupid haha

  • @theguitarhero649 lol ^^

  • how did u make it

  • I WANT THIS NOW! lol

  • @wanderoustree i have a differnt modle of one for sale, if u wanna buy, check out my video of it.

  • where do you get that cube?

  • wicked 5/5

  • now i understand why c4u made a cubic one :) it's easier to produce but this is cooler to watch and has a shifting shape

  • Could you please make a tutorial on how to build it please if you do i will subscribe

  • these are pretty easy to make in cad if u have a little experience.

  • i realy want a cube like this! would you send me master pices? I d pay for them!

  • This is hand made. This was not drawn in CAD or 3D therefore there are no masters.

  • okay.. thx for info...

  • @nechronius I know that this comment is old as dirt, but you could take each of the pieces, and cast a piece, then send it as a master.

  • @nechronius just make copys of the peices. lolz

  • @nechronius how did you build. and how did you learn to buld it??

  • @batze96 you can buy cubes like this on ebay

  • @batze96 i'll make a tutorial on how to make one soon

    it needs only 2 3x3x3's

  • i need one but i can't pay 300 dollars for one. can u help?

  • I'll buy one for 25 bux (fully functional)

  • I am terrible at this stuff. can i buy one off of someone?

  • when i made this, the 1st and 5th layer lock up, pop, and arent the smoothest quality. how did u make urs amazingly... amazing?

  • how did u make it??

  • way make one if you can buy one

  • because YOU CAN'T ! unless someone sells one on ebay.

  • where can you buy one??

  • @batze96

he made it himself... its not anywhere on sale right now, maybe in a year or two it will!

  • You Can Buy Them On Ebay

  • what is your website?

  • yay i made one. but one of the sides turns badly. i might fix it

  • Awesome!

    But I have one question:

When you cut the plastic tongues, what do you do so they aren't flush with the piece?

Because if it was flush then it would fit into the cut-out hole, right?

  • can u make a video of u showing the pieces? the pictures on ur site are a little confusing.

  • nvr mind

  • awesome..

  • You are a true master!

  • where do you get the plastic sheet?

  • help! how do you make it so that all the layers turn instead of just glueing on pieces ??

  • See my reply to the question prior to yours.

  • can you please make a tutorial on how to make one of these?? All of the other tutorials ive watched show how to make on by glueing an extra layer on the ends, ive never seen a fully functional one!! thankss

  • I have no intention on making a how-to video for this. Check out my website for construction pictures.

  • @Hunter1095 type in redkb and then how to make one. he also has a fully functional one and a tutorial

  • i ordered mine but its white not blak

  • To the best of my knowledge there is no existing manufacturer of the fully functional 3x3x5. There are a few custom designed ones available in the community however. If you're buying from ebay it's just an extended puzzle.

  • no its this website the review says that its real and it was cheap. P.S. by "real" i mean fully functional

  • what site?

    ;)

  • awesome

  • I made one of those too but how the hell did you get all the layers to turn?! I had to glue the fist to layers together!

  • Go to my profile and follow the links. As I state in the previous comment reply, the method you see is what I used. You can't just glue the pieces on, obviously.

  • i don't understand how to do the "tongues", i've cut the circle on top and now im lost, plz give me some help!!!

  • The "tongue" is just a piece of flat plastic sheet that's been glued to the bottom of the foot, the part that holds the cube piece in place. Obviously you have to cut the tongue to the appropriate shape for it to stay in place. And make a channel in the 2/4 layer for the tongue to move through.

  • Is this your method? If so, how does it turn that well? I made one using your method and I guess I messed up because it hardly turns!

  • The exact method I used can be found on my web page (see my profile). The puzzle you see in the video is the same one as in the photos on the website.

  • i would like to buy one...please pm me

  • Sorry, I only made the one and sold it to a collector in Spain. I have no intention of making more.

  • i want one

  • u no that thing u do at 00:38, could u do tht on an extended 3x3x5?

  • I'm not quite sure what you mean, but if you are talking about the outermost layer rotating independently, then no, a simple extended puzzle can't do the same thing. You have to build the puzzle to have a moving 1st and 5th layer in the first place.

  • no sorry. i meant 00:33. just realised. the thing where the top and bottom centres move. it would be 6 dots on a 3x3.

  • you know you don't have to go through the trouble to make these, you can just buy them

  • You do realize that mine is fully functional while the ones you can buy for cheap are just extensions, right?

  • he probably didn't, but he might have meant people who sell custom mods on the Internet or something.

    I hate extensions :)

  • i understand the entire puzzle, but wouldnt it be impossible to do this same way to extend a 3x3x5 or now the 6x6x6 or 7x7x7 because when extentions are added you normaly wont be able to have the center turn without the edges ... wow i have no clue what i just said ( probably cus im sick ! which means no puzzles for me for a while )

  • Every puzzle is obviously different and may require a completely different approach to building. While the 3x3x4 and 3x3x5 are similar in appearance, they are radically different internally. So yes, odds are that a rubik 3x3x5 approach won't work with the 6x6x6 or higher. In fact I can pretty much guarantee that it won't.

  • its basecly a 3x3x3 with the square one topand bottom layers on it because if u look at the core the outer layer is only attached with a center piece on it (even if no extended center)

  • The links on my page show detailed pics of the mechanism. The Square-1 idea was proposed by Ton Dennenbroek but I feel that method is impractical. In any case using something like magnets defeats the exercise of a purely mechanical twisty puzzle, which is what is most appealing for people.

  • if u want to make the mod easier get two cubes and magnets and extend the sides with magnetic piece so they turn

  • i thought fully func. wasnt even possible... i looked on ur website and i dont get it

  • amazing

  • How is this Possible****

  • How is this possibly, top layers can spin with not center, you gotta make a video on how to build, seriously, I'm not joking, I have many custom cubes but, many sides are not functional. Teach teach teach.

  • could u show us how to make one?

  • There are construction pictures on my website. The concept is actually pretty straightforward, but quality is heavily dependent on the skill and patience of the builder.

  • You are the mod making God!

  • Very nice mod. fully functional is hard to do at that. but to make it that quality?! that is extremely difficult to do. It seems very durable and turns with ease. I would love to make one but have nowhere near the skill. for those of you wondering how it works, its almost exactly like a 2x2x4 mod. extended feet in the 1 and 5 layers that rotate under the tops of the 2 and 4 layers. so when its turned 90 degrees, the feet keep the peices in place.

  • doesn't require too much SKILL (lack of italics)

All you need is knowledge of how to make one, the supplies, and an eye for perfect alignment.

  • Great puzzle! I hate the extended ones lol :)

  • awesome

  • OMG! I so want one!

  • how did you make it fully functional ( can you guive me a link or do a explantion)

  • the grown tower is different than that one i think tho because his cant turn the 1st and 5th layer hen doing that dot pattern

  • I'm pretty sure the Grown Tower is functionally identical. But since I've never held one, I don't know for sure.

  • what type of 3x3x3 cube do you use? springs or screws?

  • In the case of the 3x3x5, it doesn't really matter. For the one I made though it's a 2003 vintage puzzle with flat riveted centers.

  • One quick clarification. At least two centers MUST be flat, specifically the centers that rotate with layers 1 and 5. An arched center would bind on layers 2 and 4.

  • dude make a video on how to make one

  • will u selll

  • Sorry, this puzzle is now owned by a collector in Spain.

  • wtf i want to make this(fully functioning) but its way too complicated

  • how did u make that? i can make an extented version... bud this?

  • Follow the link in my profile for notes on how to make one.

  • anyone can make extended, no need to add that comment!

  • How the hell
