I went back and watched the tape. There is no doubt that she said that she was against rent control. The "too complex" quote was someone else.
I don't love all these candidates, but I don't hate them so much as to make up lies about them.

Actually you're wrong. I was there. Watch the whole tape. She said she didn't support it and said why. She was very clear. I went back and watched and that's what happened.

She did at first but then she can be heard saying its too complex to answer with a yes or no...i took that as a negation of the first answer. thank you for the clarification though.

The woman on the left was definitely holding up the red sign, which meant "no" - she didn't support rent control. A few of the other candidates looked like they had answered as well, but the camera went off them pretty fast.
