For those people asking if it is really better to downrank, the simple answer is yes it helps with mana efficiency tremendously.

If you are currently not using this wounderfull play style then dont worry because in WOTLK this feature will die off officially and you'll be forced to use max rank anyway.

yeah you seem to know how to heal, i have a 70 resto troll sham, had 2.1k heals with low mp5, but after regemming im up to 1.9k heals and around 170 mp5/casting, my only advice is invest heavily in mp5, its so much more important than just having highest possible heals

hit up the armory, search u.s. for "posiedon" im a troll, resto shaman, on the terenas realm, "casual raiders" is the guild, thats what im sitting at right now, so use that to judge

usin lower rank chain healz is better? cuz i always heal jus fine w/ last rank chain heal. and mana tide keeps me up and can heal for a whole boss fight with highest rank CH

Actually you might wanna use Rank 4 since it still gets all the +heal that rank 5 does but less mana. On EJ they say that you cast it at 19% less mana than Rank 5 and only 10% less heal.

Thechewypanda - Good info, I play Enhancement myself but to add to your advice, it's a lot more efficient to use Chain Heal Rank 3 instead. You'll see a massive difference and fights will become less mana intensive. Nice video btw <3

wow, I play a resto shaman on Medivh, level 70 as well and in ssc/hycal gear...and I was wondering why you spam LHW? its so much more mana efficent to just use CH. it heals for like 1k more and only costs exactly 100 more mana...which your MP5 should take care of no prob...just a little advice from a fellow shaman healer

Aye, I was about to make that comment myself. However, it does get a bit dull spamming chain heal, mixing in some lesser healing waves, and the odd healing wave is fun.
