It does not matter if you are Catholic, or protestant or what ever you want , This is a great masterpiece of Haendel music which will be listened for ever and ever. The dogmatic philosophy of the religion sooner or later will end with the Scientific conception of the Universe Science. The interpretation it is a little bit fast there are much more better interpretations of this masterpiece. Ufh
@marcelouz3 the universe was created by the Father, redeemed by the Son and maintained in love by the Spirit. that's what this music is about - and only a Christian, or an open hearted unbeliever, can really feel that beautiful truth.
Sure you have achieved in your beautifull voices and that is why it sounds very good in your interpretation, but i dont agree with your conductor, the interpretation is from him not yours , in any case congratulation to all of you. Great job
@acwillibrordus This should the intended tempo if not faster. As a side note, the original Handel's Hallelujah chorus was sung by 8 people: two sopranos, two altos, two tenors, and two basses.
Beautiful! the choir sounds a bit restrained though, the dynamics are slightly different from what I may be used to however! still an inspiring performance!
When such glorious music is written to exalt a person / religion, then no wonder it has such a profound effect on a non believer, who are compelled to believe & take up faith, to say nothing of the invigorating effect on the followers.
As for this performance, it is very good as it brings out allot of the details of then score, although I think the tempi was quite fast, making the music rushed & suppressing the majestic quality a bit.
I thought this was an exquisite tempo. The only thing I think could have been done better in this performance was the crescendo between 1:43 and 2:15 - it wasn't strong enough. I actually think that the dynamics were too even throughout the whole piece. It lacked the contrasts that so wonderfully makes the glorious parts even more glorious. But a fantastic interpretation over all.

christ said: "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.'
I believe that these words apply to every act of collective worship conducted under the aegis of any Christian denomination, Catholic or Protestant.
I am a Catholic and i first heard this marvellous chorus in a Catholic church in Dublin in 1955
