We were let out of school and all the teachers were crying. I got home and my mom n dad were glued to the tv. (Dad came home from work). I realized then that it was a big deal. Ever since then 9/11 has been a touchy subject. I am now 20 and joining the military. GET SOME.

I don't understand how some people would say that rebuilding the twin towers would be a total disrespect???? Ken Gardner design had a Memorial and a strong rebuilt of the twin towers in a different location! This buildings were so unique! I'm not from US, but i just adore American cities. I am so fascinated by these buildings that I had to make their model. Just like in the past, when they were one of the greatest unique buildings in the world, i decided to spend much effort and time to construct them. And finally, after almost 4 years of construction my work paid off. I have a model of this enormous towers in my room! And they will stand here for years! They are my inspiration! :) Peace!
@dupont4sure they can, imagine 4 huge perimeter corner collumns in the size of core columns from the lower part interconnected with the core, there was almost nothing at the old Wtc at this point! + Stronger collumns in the core, reinforced concret like the new wtc! @katakisLives I just watched the Rebuilding Ground zero show and they said that the freedom tower will be stronger becuz of the hard concrete, taller and safer becuz they have wider stairways. Plus they will make a museum and pools.

@DkBieber1 well to rebuild EXACTLY where the towers used to stand would be disrespectful. that's why the library at columbine where most of the kids were killed..was turned into an atrium as a tribute and the new library was added on at another part of the school. i am for rebuilding the towers...maybe not as tall...but tall enough to know those damn terrorists didn't kill our spirit.

@DkBieber1 I'm sure that the Freedom tower will be able to take advantage of all the innovations in construction that have been made since the WTC was completed back in 73 I simply don't like the look of it! for me the twin towers are as iconic as the Eiffel tower or Big Ben or the golden gate bridge! if they rebuilt the towers now they too would have these improvements in construction! if the white house was taken out they would replicate it! I feel the same should apply to the WTC!

This buildings were so unique! I'm not from US, but i just adore American cities. I am so fascinated by these buildings that I had to make their model. Just like in the past, when they were one of the greatest unique buildings in the world, i decided to spend much effort and time to construct them. And finally, after almost 4 years of construction my work paid off. I have a model of this enormous towers in my room! And they will stand here for years! They are my inspiration! :) Peace!

@dupont4sure they can, imagine 4 huge perimeter corner collumns in the size of core columns from the lower part interconnected with the core, there was almost nothing at the old Wtc at this point! + Stronger collumns in the core, reinforced concret like the new wtc! No plane, no normal bomb has a chance to bring it down! It would look 100% same as the old wtc !

Wow all this hard work and effort for nothing! It took these men like 5 years to finish the buildings and yet the towers were destroyed in less then an hour. I feel sorry for the builders who built the towers because all this hard work got thrown away it's like a big smack in the face.
