We don't build timers into the fixture, we try to keep things simple and timers often fail when built into aquarium light fixtures. However, you can use the fixtures themselves with timers and they will work with most dimmers on the market. In addition, the modularity allows you to put the blue LED's on a separate timer than the white LED's, so you can program the dawn-to-dusk effect with the fixture.
I have the large unit on a Sloana XL aquarium. Its beyond perfect!!! I have numerous Reef/fish aquariums. This light solves all issues with reef tanks. I am NOT affiliated with this company. I am a very pleased consumer. I want this company to thrive. They deserve it. Great light!!!!
