  • man this is awsome... this just made me wanting to start coon trapping

  • @11agenteleven you should probally go and try it out.. one of the funnest outdoor things to do in my opinion

  • Comment removed

  • your a fucking dick. why the fuck would you trap a raccoon anyway? Go fucking die in a hole you useless redneck moron.

  • @Dann2013 go mind your own business you dumb ass PETA,if u don't have something good to say keep your mouth shut

  • Nice bucket set. Try cutting a square inch hole in the bottom of the bucket so the air will travel through the bucket. you will bring coons from further distances.

  • a 160 conibear will work on coons wont it? i havent tried them yet.

  • @TheOutdoorsman07 of course. they are cheaper too but i prefer a 7x7 jawspread with the 220 for more power and quicker killing

  • FUCK YOU

  • @hipser you dont like it but you lokk at it. i dont understand you peta people.

  • @hipser no man fuck you, dissin trappers?

  • @ndrew47 how am i dissin trappers? imna trapper myself

  • That female raccoon won't be having any young this year!

  • @threeby8887 no she wont be.. that boar wont be making any either lol. im hoping there are bigger ones than that inn the area. iv always wanted to catch a big 40 pounder

  • @MrSummersj hey nice coon:)beautifull fur i never see fur in south texas like that.

  • @22superhunter this is kansas! we get some preety cold winters up here

  • 220 caught her in the mid back I see. Boar by the head.

  • @79Testo yupp. i dont care how they het caught as long as they get caught!

  • @MrSummersj

I set the Belisle 220 and 280's on a log as a trail set instead of the bucket. I section off a small area like a narrow opening to some place where there is only one way in and out. I get way more catches this way as opposed to cubbies and buckets. Out of 30 buckets I set for coon, I had only 1 bucket catch. But the other method is way better. Damn problem is it catches them down low some time and they are not dead when I show up there.

  • @79Testo that happened to me too.. had to run back to the house for my .22

  • @79Testo i will have to try the small area thing this summer. but in the video above i could set the bucket deeper in theose bushes and hang 2 snares and see if i cant triple my catch

  • where is this iowa?

  • @79Testo no, its right in the middle of the u.s. its kansas

  • @MrSummersj

    thanks for reply!

any comment for me on my failure with 220/bucket sets?

  • @79Testo what do you mean. you dont have any uploads

  • @79Testo oh never mind i figured it out.. hmmm, are you making the trap stable and how are you putting the trap in the bucket?

  • @MrSummersj

the trap is staked down with 1" x 2" sticks....so it is stable. The trap is not deep in the bucket....how far in should it go, mid way?

  • @79Testo im only about 1 to 2 inches in. is it a square bucket or round?

  • @MrSummersj

both square and round...I was the same amount in. Now thinking of going deeper probably close to 7 inches in.

  • @79Testo if that doesnt work try going to dirthole sets and a few dog proofs

  • never mind

  • bait?

  • Great video, I like 220s for coon too, nice dubble, now the skinning, fleshing, streaching, drying, then to market, there is a lot of hard work in trapping but, when all the work is all done, you truly earned your money, keep it up

  • @MONNIEHOLT i dont flesh them i just leave them green

  • if your peta dont even watch!!

  • @MrSummersj

    Great stuff!

I tried the 220/bucket. Didn't work for me. Coon would come and mess with the trap and it would go off and no coon. I switched to trail sets and camouflaging the trap with natural surrouyndings and bait on other side. Way more productive!

I don't know if it's because coon are clever around here, since it is a big city or what. But buckets did not work for me. I will try again though.
